We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely boutique hotel for 10 nights, and it truly became our home away from home for nearly two weeks. From the very beginning, the experience felt personal and thoughtful. When we made our booking, we requested separate beds and a quiet, restful room. To our surprise and appreciation, Tamara personally called us in advance to discuss these preferences — a gesture that immediately set a warm tone for our stay.
Throughout our visit, the reception team — Tamuna, Tamara, and Tatia during the day, along with Uri and Nana in the evenings — were consistently attentive, friendly, and eager to help. I especially valued the meaningful conversations I had with the night-shift staff, which added a genuinely human touch to the experience. We’re also very grateful to the security team, Razmik and Gocha, who went above and beyond. They regularly assisted by speaking with the bar across the street to lower the music volume late at night, ensuring we could rest more comfortably, and they thoughtfully checked in on us when we used the rooftop terrace, turning on lights and heating when needed.
The hotel is located in a lively, historic, and safe neighborhood, making it easy and enjoyable to explore the area on foot. We specifically chose a superior room with a balcony for the added space and pleasant atmosphere; however, this did come with a trade-off in terms of some nighttime noise due to the hotel’s and the room's position opposite a bar across the street. Daily amenities such as bottled water, tea, instant coffee, and toiletries were consistently replenished. Bathrobes and slippers were also provided, adding to the comfort. While we were initially surprised that coffee creamer wasn’t included, the reception staff kindly provided some upon request.
We also appreciated the flexibility and helpfulness of the staff in accommodating our needs — removing the minibar so we could use the fridge for our own items, lending us plates and cutlery, and even heating up takeaway food so we could enjoy meals on the rooftop terrace, which offers amazing 360-degree views of the city.
That said, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the guest experience:
1) The music from the bar across the street can be quite disruptive at night, and a MORE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION between hotel management and the bar would be beneficial, for the sake of future hotel guests.
Note: After a few nights, we ended up discussing the noise directly with the bar owner, requesting that the speakers facing the hotel be switched off around midnight.
2) Additionally, the centralized air conditioning system was set to heating (winter mode) during our entire stay, making the room uncomfortably warm at times. Having individual temperature control in rooms would greatly improve comfort.
3) Lastly, the curtains are (still) quite thin and did not effectively block out light.
A tip for future guests: it’s worth noting that superior rooms with balcony are located on the side facing the bar. If you’re sensitive to noise, you may want to consider this when booking.
Overall, we had a very memorable and pleasant stay, made especially special by the kindness and dedication of the staff. With a few adjustments, this hotel could offer an even more exceptional experience.
