Al Cortiletto

Very good place to stay close to the centre of Reggio Calabria. Excellent value. Quiet. Good comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom, fridge and kettle in the room.

The shower kept going cold. The breakfast was very basic (one disappointing croissant and one coffee from a fairly unfriendly cafe 3 minutes walk up the road) but okay for the low price.

The location is close to the center and cathedral and central railway station. There is a bus stop just outside which can take you to the archaelogical museum 2,5 km away. Bustickets can be bought in the Tabac shops for 1,50 Euro (The host gave us two tickets for free). We had a misunderstanding about two seperate beds but the host gave us two seperate rooms instead (for free). The host is generally very service minded and speaks fair English. He does not stay in the house (in the day time). We were let in by his Italian speaking mother who managed the cleaning. The rooms are well equipped with good beds and quiete nights. You get a voucher for breakfast in a café 200 meters away.

The nice breakfast cafe is in a bakery that only have sweet cakes for breakfast which we do not eat for breakfast.

Splendid accommodation very close to the cathedral etc - in an old palazzo building

Mini breakfast was at a bar a couple of minutes walk away, but hardly a problem

It was a lovely place to stay in Reggio Calabria.

Everything was good so I can't find fault.

It's like living in your own apartment. Very quiet and comfort room. The cleaning is super . Next visit in Reggio I don't need to search for accommodation cause I am sure I choose Al Cortiletto again :)
