Villa 185- Central Masterton

The house was easy to find, the check-in was easy, and the kitchen was beautiful. The location was close to shops. The Wifi was good. There is a lot of space and it was warm and has been updated nicely especially the kitchen and bathroom.

The location was noisy. The street was busy all night; none of us slept because it sounded like vehicles were zooming by the foot of our bed (we were in the room furthest from the road!). The bedding had a horrible smell like it had been left in the machine for a while, and the towels smelled of smoke. There was no tea except green tea and no milk. The kitchen was lovely and clean; the lounges had seen better days, very soft. The house is nice - just not a good place to rest. There are lots of rules inside the door. Put the rubbish out the back but the bin was in the street - you kind of feel like you are an inconvenience. We would not stay here again especially when working over the weekend.

The only complaints would be to have had some tea coffee facilities and milk available on arrival. There wasn’t any milk and tea coffee was in an old packet and had gone stale.

Could not figure out how to turn on heat In living room and one bedroom but found a space heater so all was good

i think the eclosed backyard boarded up would be illegal from fire and safety aspect as no gate and over 2 metres high
