Dar Ix-Xemx

Unfortunately i can t leave an excellent review as i saw others do ,I feel iv been betrayed apart that she ruined my looking foward Birthday vacation by the host Amanda of Dar x xemx at Nadur Gozo, iv been booked a month ago to stay 2 days at her farm house at Nadur dates from 21 st till 23 th April she called me on Saturday 20 th stating that due to faulty web site booking.com is taking over bookings and that she has to relocate us she had aready send the link of the place Shambala house at Rabat Gozo to check if its was fine from photos looked nice same as i booked previously a very pleasent impression ,We asked about being pet friendly and parking she told me that she asked the owner and its 5 min away i asked for location details she told me they will send everything we need to know, On Sunday morning 21 st the Host Maria of Shambala send me the details as we saw the loaction the parking was not 5 min away was far away and reading the description and recomandations of the house was aready breath taking and there i asked them if i can cancel and they told me it s too late we made courage hoping that the place was nice to enjoy are selfs, To our sour surprise the place was completly different as prievious booked at Dar Xemx photos and most of All the expectations as we paid 132 for 2 nites no b fast, The room was a 40 50 sqm with high level of humidity mixed with a strong smell of air freshner no proper air cerculation, dark it s as if we went inside an under ground cave ,no mobile line, no terrace, an small old door that when you open you find the neighbour hood that are very loud all of this inducted me to start to feel sick shortness of breath , burning trachea i was getting worse by the minute i asked for another room to the Shambala host Maria she told me they don t have after an hour or more of trauma i was literally freaking out host Amanda of Dar x xemx told me she will try to find me an other place as i have two dogs and was late soon after she told me...

This was a magical property and I enjoyed my stay so much. It is in a quiet location but very close to bus stops and about ten minute walk to the center of Nadur. I also walked from here to Ramla Bay and it was a beautiful hike of maybe 45 minutes with beautiful views. Lovely communal kitchen to use. Easy to catch the bus to other places on Gozo. Felt safe as a solo female traveler. Beautiful gardens and the best views. Thank you so much for my best stay in Malta and I hope to return.

Location and views are amazing! Peaceful and quiet with views overlooking the valley all the way to the sea!! The layout is great for privacy since there are 3 separate areas with the Cottage, Penthouse and Main house having independent entrances and facilities. Airconditioning units were efficient and barely consumed any of the pre-loaded electricity credits. The living room turned into a picture-perfect winter's night once we turned on the fireplace.

Just one. We expected the place to be a little bit cleaner. Being an old farmhouse it is expected to be dusty but the floor, carpets, etc had crumbs and lumps of fluff, and there were quite a few cobwebs too! We also had an issue with bedsheets in one of the bedrooms, but Amanda came over in less than an hour to replace them for us.

There was much more things we could use like the main house and the garden and the bone fire and it made our breakfasts and night experiences really worth staying at the place. We were looking for a place where we could take our dog with us and they accepted him… We would definitely return with friends as the place can accommodate another 2 families and we will all have our private quarters whilst still sharing the main amenities (pool, fireplace etc)

The bathroom could have been equipped with more toilet paper and bath soap as this was very limited and also, kitchen roll wipes and drying cloths to dry the plates as there was only one and limited cutlery too. Either way, whatever there was was sufficient and we managed pretty well and the place was very nice, clean and with amazing views.

lack of Cleanliness, you pay 40 euros extra for cleaning, but cleaning is done only were visible. we had to get out the spare bed for my kid. it was dusty, so was underneath it. So were bed covers they were full of dust.

Charming and quiet atmosphere away from tourist centers. Very clean. Nice common kitchen and living room. Everything needed was there. Own balcony. Pool with view over landscape and sea view in distance. Coffee provided. Hosts very friendly and available when needed.

Microwave would be great.
