Drury Inn & Suites Terre Haute

Clean, staff was visible and actively providing service, breakfast was great and the dinner/drink buffet was something I hadn’t heard of.

Train whistles in the distance were so long in duration that my sleep was disturbed a few times. This is nothing that is the fault of the Drury.

I chose the Terre Haute Drury Inn location due to previous positive experiences at other Drury locations, as well as very high online ratings compared to other hotels in the area. I am not sure who is inflating these ratings. The property is outdated and rundown. Our room on the third floor had a wet smell to it upon entering and I became congested throughout the evening. This significantly worsened when my son took a shower. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a lumpy mattress tilted to the right…I spent most of the night trying to readjust and find a spot where I wasn’t defying gravity. The bathroom floor was dirty and had grime all along the border of the tile and the walls. The curtains did not close completely so light was filtering in all night. The hallways and rooms above and next-door were very noisy, not from people doing anything specific, but just from lack of noise dampening materials. Again, the room was very outdated. For the price that we paid for the room ($200), this visit was extremely lacking. We will not be returning.
