We fell in love with this place. The apartments are big and authentic, with everything you need to spend time in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. There are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living room. We had a big terrace where you can sunbathe, make a barbecue, and enjoy beautiful sunsets and the farm life. We loved how calm it was, with lots of animals around. It was also wonderful to see that the owner cares about homeless animals — and we especially adored the friendly donkey! This is truly the kindest place, run by the kindest people. We loved it so much that we even changed our plans and stayed longer in this lovely farm region. The location is also very convenient — only about 12 minutes to the city and the beaches.”**

Fabulous stay w Calogero in his farmhouse. The location was superb. In nature but close to day trip activities. We wish we could have stayed longer!

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Located in the midst of olive and citrus groves, the only sound you could hear in the morning was birds singing. Our children loved the cats and dogs staying outside our flat most of the time we were there. If you have a car, this place is conveniently located close to many gorgeous attractions such as Sciacca, the valley of temples and fantastic beaches.

The house was spacious and authentic, the host was great, quickly reacted to our requests. A lot of friendly dogs and a cute cat.

Little things — there was no soap in the bathroom, no door knob in the bathroom, the hair dryer didn’t fit in any socket. Otherwise, most things were good.

There is no better place to feel the authentic vibes of local Sicilian life. We do not speak Italian at all, but we could communicate with the host by using google translater and he gave us a lot of vegetables and fruits in his farm.

It was a bit challenging to get the place in the night.

We liked the location, the atmosphere of the old house. The parents of the owner were VERY VERY NICE people, and as we speak Italian, it was easy to communicate. There were lots of dogs and cats, but they behaved nicely. (If you do like pets, probably it would be even a big advantage to choose this place.) The olive trees were also very nice around. There were a couple of things missing or out of order, but we asked for them and we got it from the parents who lived nearby. You can buy honey and olive oil from them, and it is very good quality indeed. We went to the beach on foot (80 minutes), but in 10 minutes by car you could reach it.

It is February, so we needed to heat the place with wood and it got chilly after a few hours. For the kids it was disturbing, but if you like to make real fire (and I do), it is very nice for a couple of days. It felt natural. (There are enough fire wood outside, and you collect it from the yard.) In most of the time, the big house would be also an advantage, it would be cool in the warmest month as well. For us only two things were a bit problematic, but survivable: the shower head was broken and the seat of the toilet was one size smaller and also broken. These minor things could be repaired in no time, and in spite of this we had a very good stay, and we would choose again this location. The kitchen could be equipped in a bit better way, but you can cook, and there are enough plates, etc. (No microwave or kettle.)

It was great being on the farm. Ignazio is most generous and funny too! Dogs, cats, citrus, olive oil, wine, a wood stove.... If you'd like to learn a bit about Sicily, La Fattoria would be a great place to start.
