Quality Inn & Suites Ocean City Fenwick

Property is definitely just 2 stars. We booked a "partial ocean view" room through Expedia and when we arrived they gave us a pool view. When asked about beach view i was told "those rooms are already booked." If i wasn't so tired from the travel I would have argued, but didn't have it in me. Once in our room, we were greeted with mold. From the cieling to all around tge walls. Bathroom was nit cleaned well, and no toiletries like in description or photos. I have a 2 month old, so i was very concerned for his health along with my own. After telling staff ( who have now changed shifts, so different from when checking in), we explained the issue and he told us he would check out other rooms to see what was available. After a few mins, he told us he checked 3 different rooms, and he found one that was not moldy. The fact that more rooms were visibly in this condition is terrible. We remained in a pool view room but was not happy as we gelt that room must of just had tge mold painted over. Why were we not given this room from the beginning. The smell was not as string, but we had no choice because of the time of the night it was. There is light breakfast, cofee, tea, and juices in lobby served daily. We came with 2 vehicles and was only given 1 parking pass and told "don't worry" about 2nd vehicle. They say its non smoking but, smoking was being done by many at the pool while my 2 other kids 9 and 12 tried to enjoy the water. 2 stars given for the tiki bar

Pros: Staff is extremely friendly! Super close to the beach.Tiki Bar Staff was amazing and personable. Jackson provided great service. Love the "mermaid" visit on Sundays. Love the live music on the weekends. Parking options were all great. Beds are comfortable. Areas of growth: Needs updating! Air conditioning unit is extremely loud. The water pressure is terrible at best. Cleaning crew didn't vacuum. The toilets have hard water stains from lack of cleaning. However, I will say the cleaning crew is friendly and quick to assist. Having appliances and utensils are definitely a bonus, but in poor condition. Pool area needs upgrades. Broken furniture. When it rains water puddles up all around the pool. No drains. We never saw any staff from the hotel at the pool. There were ants in random areas of the room. Overall, you get what you pay for. My family and I still enjoyed our stay. The staff was accommodating. Check-in was smooth.

Check in asked me to pay, which I already had. The shower would not drain, and was stuck on one pressure. However, beds were comfy, a/c was great, and walk to the beach was easy.

Close to the ocean, free breakfast, free parking, we like how it's very close to the state boarder between Maryland and Delaware, the restaurant's food was really good and not too pricey. The sliding door to balcony is hard to open and close. We didn't use the hair blower but the oitle

Our room was not at all what we expected It was not clean upon arrival. When we ask for housekeeping they handed us sheets in a bag and said there were no housekeeping staff available. The room was extremely musty and the employees acted as though we were bothering them.

We like having a restaurant and bar outside of pool. Food and drinks were very good!! Nice menu!

Unfortunately, we had black mold throughout the ceiling of our room over July 4th weekend when we checked in. Scott the Manager admitted they had water leak on the floor above the prior week, but he didn't think it was black mold - rather he thought the cleaners didn't do a great job cleaning off the ceiling (?). We didn't want to risk it since we have family members with asthma, and we asked to be moved to another room. At first there were no other rooms due to it being July 4th weekend, but Scott eventually found us a new room. Scott and the staff were good, but they should never have put people in that room - and at $400+ per night, we expect better. We love the location of the hotel, the pool, and the tiki bar and restaurant are the best in the area! So we can put up with a lower-quality room for the amenities, which are perfect for us. If the mold was not there, we would give the hotel an Average/Good rating.

Room had a broken stove, leaky toilet, and was clearly not cleaned well as there were hairs in the tub and on the bathroom floor. We had to call for toilet paper upon arrival since there was an empty roll on the counter and no roll holder. We called prior to arrival since we were gifted a Choice Hotels gift card. We spoke with service folks at Choice who confirmed with the hotel that they did. Upon arrival at the hotel, it took 65+ minutes and two useless phone calls to choice hotels (Gwen and Joel- both from El Salvador) who lied and said no manager was on duty. They blamed the hotel. The only helpful person we encountered was the front desk worker, Brian. The folks at Choice call center were rude and lied. The hotel is not worth the money- stay somewhere else. The breakfast area is tiny and the entire hotel tries to cram in there at the same time. Requested a corner room- didn’t get it.

Great experience! Staff was very friendly,
