Days Inn by Wyndham Mitchell SD

We came to this Days Inn because we had been here a decade ago with family and wanted our young kids to have fun in the indoor pool with the water slides. But the pool area is becoming dilapidated for lack of a better word. The pool walls and floor are sharp and my daughter cut her hand open within the first 3 minutes. The floor of the pool area is made up of a pebble cement which is chipping out and hard to walk on. The most concerning part was the completely rusted out metal staircase and railing to the large slide. Im confused how something like this can deteriorate this much before getting replaced. Some places are very sharp and rihht near where children walk. Also, nobody came to add towels to the pool area the entire time we were there. The cleaning staff at least did a good job overall of keeping rooms clean. They even tried to come in while we were currently in the room relaxing. The continental breakfast was sub-par. The sausage links were rubbery as if they'd been reheated from the previous day or two. They'd taken on a whole new texture that was unedible.

It was awful. Never ever again will I spend a dime on a Days Inn. They must have rats. There was a bag of garbage strewn on the floor the next morning. -7

Breakfast was above average with hot entrees. Great for families with young children as the indoor pool has a water slide. The staff were kind and efficient.

Nice, quiet room was clean, king bed was good but a little hard to climb up on because it was a little too high for me.Breakfast was good. We travel with a small dog and hotel is pet-friendly.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and facility well kept and comfortable.

Another great stay at this hotel. The place is always clean. Friendly people to check you in and help if you need it.

The beds were clean and soft. Our bathroom floor appeared to not have been swept/cleaned. The pool area was slightly more run down than the pictures showed and the hot tub wasn’t overly warm. The breakfast area is incredibly small, congested and overwhelming. However, the breakfast was good. The coffee was very good and they had flavored coffee creamer which is always a plus for my family!

The outside side door didn’t lock. The hot tub wasn’t hot & the jets didn’t work. Breakfast was more like school lunch
