I liked everything about my stay. Masayuki was very nice and helped me plan my hiking in Nikko, which made my experience even better. The place was perfect, clean, and comfortable – highly recommended!

Masayuki was an incredible host, and It couldn't have been better. Everything was comfortable and the top floor with the futons was very comfortable and quiet. The house and the facilities were very clean. There are two AC/heater units and fans upstairs, so you'll keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I cooked my own food a couple of times with wagyu I picked up from a local market. He provided me with lots of information regarding the areas in Nikko and the best parking spots. Everything exceeded my expectations. Masayuki is a great person, and you should treat him well too. 11/10

Lovely host and beautiful river

Bel appartement à l'étage de la maison de l'hôte, qui est un homme trés acceuillant et de bons conseils pour visiter la région. Chaque jour, nous avons eu droit à des fruits et de l'infusion fraiche. La maison est en bord de rivière, dans un environnement trés calme. Trés proche des principaux sites, mais l'idéal est de venir en voiture

Notre hôte était vraiment particulièrement gentil et accueillant. La chambre à l’étage est authentique et lumineuse. L’environnement autour de la maison est magnifique. La situation géographique est légèrement en retrait, et en même temps proche de tous les sites d’intérêt.

We had a great time at Midorian. The house is in the forest near a stream. In the evening we saw deers directly in front of the house. The host was very friendly and we had great conversations.

The location is stunning, nestled in nature beside a forest and stream, just a 5 min drive from Toshogu temples and Nikko’s main street. A car is recommended to explore the nearby national parks and onsens. Masayuki is a thoughtful host who looks after his guests with care. The apartment is on the top floor and it's well equipped with a private kitchen and bathroom. We especially appreciated the delicious strawberries he shared, thank you!! We hope to return and see more of this beautiful region

The tatami mat rooms, sliding doors, and futons were beautiful and extremely comfortable. The kotatsu was an amazing and relaxing place to sit after long days of hiking. Masayuki, our host, was extremely kind and accommodating, and was able to recommend great and safe hikes in the area, and very kindly looked after us. The upper story of the house where we stayed had such a traditional and nostalgic feel, and also had a full kitchen which allowed us to cook meals at home, and enjoy the beautiful space. Everyday our host would give us fresh strawberries and spend time chatting with us about art, the town, and local culture. It is also within walking distance to a local hotel onsen, which was a large part of our nightly routine while staying.

I recommend a rental car if you are planning to stay here!

Bathroom is seperate downstairs (maybe I didn't read it) Toilet is on upper floor tho ! Not the most comfortable bunkbeds
