We located and still quiet. I would use again

Expérience catastrophique dans un soi-disant 4 étoiles Après un long voyage, j’arrive à l’hôtel, il est minuit passé. Première chambre : une odeur insupportable de cigarette froide. Impossible d’y rester. Je dois insister plus de 10 minutes auprès du réceptionniste, qui traîne des pieds, avant d’obtenir un changement de chambre. Seconde chambre : en voulant prendre une douche, c’est une puanteur d’excréments qui remonte des canalisations. Irrrespirable. J’ai dû renoncer à me laver tant l’odeur était insoutenable. Le lendemain, quand j’explique calmement la situation, la réponse du personnel est claire : « si vous n’êtes pas content, ne revenez pas ». Aucun geste, aucune excuse, rien. Et tout cela dans un hôtel affiché 4 étoiles ! Un service méprisant, une hygiène honteuse, des chambres imprégnées d’odeurs nauséabondes… Fuyez absolument cet établissement. C’est une arnaque totale pour le prix demandé.

Having used this hotel since 2014, it's still great value, bearing in mind that Nice is an expensive city to stay in. Again we had a clean, compact and comfortable room. The bathroom was clean and compact too, in line with the 'standard' rooms in the hotel. Air-conditioning worked really well - the advantage of a smaller room, windows open for fresh air too. Remember it's an old French building rather than a modern, purpose built hotel. Basically the room is just as described on the Accor website. Rooftop Terrace and bar is lovely too. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The filtered water fountain saves you a fortune in buying bottled water The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants, and only short walk from the Jean Medicin tram stop, for an easy transfer from Nice airport. We chose a room only tariff as there is a supermarket next to the hotel and a health food shop about 1 minutes walk from the hotel. Next year's stay in Nice is already booked in this hotel!
