Quality Inn & Suites Mount Vernon

The facility presented very well for a budget hotel. But, hopefully, my room was the exception. The internet was very bad, and I was on the 2nd floor almost directly over the room where the modem/router was located. The shelf & clothes bar was missing and you could see the holes in the wall where it should have been mounted. I had to take the ironing board off of it’s hooks to hang clothes. It was nice that there was a soft chair, but I’m 5’-11” and it was made for someone a foot taller. The room very clean and I slept well in a good bed. The staff was very hospitable, especially the night clerk. Although I didn’t eat, it looked like there was a good breakfast available. All things considered, I would stay here again, and trust that the room where I stayed would be repaired and the internet modified to provide better connectivity. Now that I’m involved with a review, I suppose I should have taken a few photos.

Hair in the tub. Dogs barking on the hour all through the night. There was a shared door to another room and it was unlocked for any random to just come in. I had to use furniture to barricade the door so I could feel safe sleeping.

I booked with Expedia wasn’t told that I live too close. Nobody called me or anything. I get all the way there. The lady was expecting me at the counter just to tell me that I cannot book with them because I live too close. I was trying to take my son indoor swimming for his birthday at least they could’ve called me and let me know something before we got there in My Son . Had to be turned away like that.

Front desk check in person was very friendly and helpful. She was super nice. It's nice that they offer free breakfast, however it was below average.
