Al llegar a la recepción no buscaron correctamente mi apellido y la reacción física de dos damas fue de incredulidad y desprecio, tal vez sarcasmo, creyendo que estábamos mintiendo. Le indiqué que fue por Booking y me decían que no había nada con mi apellido. Finalmente, un varón buscó al yo deletrear mi apellido. Tampoco la habitación estaba lista y no podían decirme aproximadamente el tiempo que tenía que esperar. Sorpresivamente, a los 5 minutos otra empleada de recepción me dijo que la habitación estaba lista justo en el momento que fui a preguntar dónde era el baño para cambiar a mi niña de ropa para que pudiera ir a la piscina, pues era su deseo. El servicio fue deficiente y nos hicieron sentir mal. No era lo que esperaba. Luego, de camino a la habitación el pasillo estaba sucio lleno de telarañas por los 3 días que estuvimos. Varios empleados eran nuevos y sabían contestar cosas del hotel. El buffet de desayuno estuvo regular pues no se esmeran en hacer lo mejor. El buffet de la cena estuvo bueno. El área de la piscina estaba agradable y el personal también.

The pool is good and the location is ok. The room is spacious and comfortable.

The check in starts at 4pm but my room got ready only at 6:30pm. They gave me a late checkout for the inconvenient but 3 different staff members knocked on my door on the checkout day and I needed to explain that I had a late checkout approved. Also, to get a drink at the pool bar takes a life.

We stayed at the Hilton Ponce in May 2026. We got a room in the Ocean Tower, with a lovely view of the ocean. The room location was an easy walk to the elevator and down to the parking lot. The room was clean and spacious. Although we were near the ice machine and elevator, I didn't really notice any extra noise. That said, the AC was a bit loud. We had a nice little balcony with a table and 2 chairs. It was also very clean. The hotel was bustling. Lots of people in the pool, playing tennis and eating. They also have a mini-golf course, spa and casino. We walked down to the beach. There was a sign that said the gate is closed (locked?) at 6:30pm. It was a nice beach with a few chairs and palm trees. Relaxing!! We ate breakfast at the hotel buffet 2 mornings, had the lunch buffet once and had dinner at El Bohio outdoor pool bar/café. The food was good at all 3 spots. I was a bit disappointed at the slow (be it friendly) service at El Bohio. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and dinner. Unfortunately, my husband's dinner took quite a while to arrive, and still came out before the appetizer (we thought they forgot). And it took another full 15 minutes before my dinner was served. By that time, my husband was almost done eating. The only other slight hiccup we encountered was exiting and entering the parking lot. It is gated and it appeared that you are supposed to use your room key to get in and out. We tried that, but didn't have success. Each time we ran into trouble, the person working at the lot would assist us. On our last day, we finally learned we needed to get a card from the front desk and have it validated by the valet and then we could use THAT card to enter and exit the parking lot. That is basically our fault, because we used self check-in and an electronic key thru the Hilton app and didn't check in at the front desk when we first arrived. Oh well. Anyway, it was a nice hotel with all the amenities you might want. We even saw wild horses walking through the parking lot one afternoon.
