Masseria Grofoleo

We have just spent three very happy days at this wonderful hotel. It is set in a stunning location within walking distance of Locorotondo and yet surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the apulian countryside. At this time of year the wild flowers are a sight to behold, the fields brimming with poppies and other gorgeous blooms. We stayed in a beautiful spacious bedroom with a balcony overlooking the pretty hotel gardens with a view of Locorotondo in the distance. The room was very elegant in a beautiful simple way. Everything in the hotel has been finished to a high and stylish standard. The Grofoleo's owner, Emanuele, greeted us with a big smile and he and his team could not have done more to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast each morning was a feast of delicious homemade goods taken in the conservatory overlooking the gardens. Emanuele organised some electric bikes for us one afternoon and suggested we explore the Aquadotto Pugliese route, a nearby cycle/footpath, a fantastic recommendation which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all this is an amazing destination with genuine heart which we would thoroughly recommend.

Uma verdadeira jóia na Puglia. A localização é perfeita, próxima a Locorotondo, podendo servir de base para visitas na região. A masseria é linda, bem cuidada, charmosa, confortável, com uma linda vista para Locorotondo. Um verdadeiro oásis. O proprietário, Emanuel, é muito gentil e atencioso. Nos fez sentir em casa, preparando bolos para o aniversário de minha esposa e depois para o do meu filho. E toda a equipe é muito cuidadosa no atendimento. O café da manhã é sensacional. Vale muito a pena ficar nesse local

Alles war super. Wir haben spontan den Aufenthalt noch um einen Tag verlängert.Traumhafte Anlage. Lage ist ideal, man ist mitten im Grünen, kann aber trotzdem abends nach Locorotondo zu Fuss zum Abendessen laufen. Super netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Keine preisgünstige Unterkunft, aber jeden Cent wert! Jede andere Bewertung als ein glatte 10 wäre gelogen

The Masseria Grofoleo was by far the most beautiful accommodation on our trip through Puglia. We stayed in a total of four different accommodations (all four stars with top ratings), but nothing comes close to this masseria. It is super private, has a great location and the host Emmanuel is really super friendly and helpful. The grounds are fabulously beautiful and it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. Emmanuel fulfills your every wish. Another great thing is that you stay in a real trullo. If I can give other travelers a tip: save yourselves the other accommodations and rather take longer day trips to the places in the south and stay at Masseria Grofoleo instead! Absolute recommendation, we will definitely be back!

Het ontbijt was super in orde. Mooie variatie. Niets was te veel om bij te vragen.

Er viel niets tegen

Staff excellent, nothing was too much trouble, including making us a meal on the first night. Much thought has gone into the layout of the room / facilities - unlike many hotels, everything was appropriate and just worked. Garden / pool very nice, breakfast good.

The property itself would be hard to improve on. We had a poor meal in the town on the second evening - at a restaurant called U Curdunn. The service was terrible - they had taken a booking for a large table of tourists who arrived as the restaurant opened and from then on pretty much everyone else was ignored. They ran out of menus, it was difficult to order, the food arrived late, one plate was supposed to come with a hot stone and didn't. I think the hotel should not recommend them!
