The Nest Hotel Palo Alto

It was a quaint location. For its location, it was quiet. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. It was amazing how you crammed the breakfast buffet into such a small space. The TV channels that I had access to (Netflix, You Tube, Amazon Prime.

I had to ask for toilet paper. I use wash clothes, which were not available in the room. The coffee maker did not work. When I informed the front desk, the young man working the desk asked, did you put water into it? Did you plug it in? Sorry, but I am not a bumbling idiot. Paying for parking was a surprise.

Good effort at updating an old motel

They charge $10 for parting in an open-air, unfenced, unshaded lot where my car was ransacked. Not kidding Lightning in room was obnoxiously harsh overhead, and with that off, the only other lights available were tiny LED reading lights, plus bathroom lights. We could hear anyone talking anywhere near our room.

Very helpful staff and a clean, quiet room. The option to purchase a glass of wine at check in (and any time) was a lovely welcome!
