Porta del Vento

Perfect location in Giardini Naxos — right across the beach, in the heart of the town, close to bus stops, cafes, shops, and restaurants. The guesthouse offers beautiful views — Taormina on one side and Mount Etna on the other. Porta del Vento is a true gem. Every detail of the house is carefully designed and decorated with great taste — full of beautiful art, charming touches, and a warm, authentic atmosphere. Everything is spotlessly clean and clearly maintained with love. Eliza and her mother Alba were wonderful hosts — from the very first moment they made us feel like part of their family. The house, built by their family, is full of warmth and Sicilian character, and we even had the chance to spend time with other guests in a cozy, friendly atmosphere. Nonna Alba made us cappuccino every morning and shared lovely stories about life in Sicily — something truly special you won’t find elsewhere. The location is ideal for exploring the eastern coast of the island. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bed very cozy, and the large bathroom featured a jacuzzi tub. Porta del Vento exceeded all our expectations. The atmosphere, hospitality, and kindness of our hosts made this stay unforgettable — we absolutely recommend it and will definitely come back!

Elisa and her mother were wonderful hosts. We felt instantly at home, our room was spacious, bright and clean. The whole house was very nice and tastefully decorated. We got fresh croissants, bread, tomatoes, fruit (even from the own garden) and homemade jam for breakfast. The location is very central in Naxos, but at least our room was very quiet. It's only a five minute walk to the bus station, from where you can catch busses to catania (airport) and taormina. The train station is a few bus stops or a 35-minute walk to the north.

We have no complaints whatsoever. A second chair on the balcony and maybe a coffee table in the room would be useful additions, but we were also satisfied as it was.

The place was super nice, the host was the friendliest we've ever had.

Sve! Kuća na 3 minuta do mora. Blizina restorana, apoteka, supermarketa, sve izuzetno povezano autobuskim saobraćajem, lokacija fenomenalna! Soba izuzetno čista, održavanje svaki dan! S jedne strane pogled na Etnu, sa druge strane pogled na more! U sobi sve što je neophodno za boravak, dovoljno mesta, krevet fenomenalan, ja sam spavala kao kod svoje kuće. Doručak serviran sa pažnjom i stilom! Sveže voće, sveža peciva, odlično opremljena kuhinja, i predivna trpezarija, sa ogromnom terasom i zelenilom na sve strane! Gospođa Alba je jedna divna žena, pozitivna i draga, i drago mi je što sam je upoznala. Volela bih da ponovim ovo, s tim da ću sledeći aranžman organizovati sa prijateljicama, jer želim da podelim ovo predivno iskustvo!

Everything was excellent. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The place is a mix of vintage and modern with a good taste of picking the furniture.

Colazione deliziosa ed abbondante, posizione eccellente a cinque minuti dalla spiaggia.

Kort vei til strand og restauranter. Utrolig hyggelig vert. Våre ønsker ble raskt imøtekommet. En fantastisk frokost i et nydelig rom.

Very nice owners, breakfast and perfect location. Beach and main street with caffès and restaurants are in few steps, but apartments are in calm area.

The host family was one of the best hosts we’ve ever had 200 feet from the beach.. lots of food to eat lots of bars to drink very special. We will go back.

The room was lovely. Very spacious and clean. Elisa and her family went out of their way to welcome us, whilst remaining unobtrusive. The breakfasts were delicious. They were described as Continental, but the range of pastries, fruit etc presented each day was fabulous. Who knew that bananas grew in Sicily!? They were very different to the usual but very tasty. Proximity to the gorgeous beach and local restaurants was also a great reason to stay here. Thanks for a wonderful visit. x

Nothing of any significance….If anything, the size of the balcony in the room was fairly small. However, there was a large, shared balcony in the breakfast/reception area, so it was possible to sit/eat outside when desired.
