Economy Hotel Marietta

I’ve been here since Sept 8th 2018.. I’m not pleased at all with the way things are here... Nthg is done properly... Toaches run the place. I had a dead roach in my fridge... my tub was leaking & they made me pay for a transfer to another room...

I advise you all to stay away from this nasty infested hotel with their nasty employees who treats their customers rudely & disrespectfully. They have an onsite "corporate" who can't even assist you when there's issues on the property. If you have an issue with a room you have to move off the property or pay to move to another room it's horrible and they over charge you for every little thing.

I have been in 3rd world countries that had better accommodations than this dump. The room was musty and filthy. I had to go back to the front desk for a towel and washcloth that looked like they had been removed from a garbage can and folded. I used my soap and a t shirt to dry off with and left their stuff folded. The drains are so bad that my 7 minute shower was a calf high tub bath before I could get out. The advertised free breakfast was non existent. No coffee in room or lobby, no hangers in the closet, not even a plastic cup for water and the one tiny lamp didn't even have a shade. I guess I should be thankful that it had a working light bulb. This place just changed its name to "Economy Lodging" from " Marietta Motel". The only thing nice about this dump were the 2 Marietta Police Officers who made sure I got to my room safely. Sleep in your car before paying for a room at this place!!!

It was horrible. The towels were stained and had holes and there was only one in the room. A second was brought to us by a corteous worker. We showered quickly and loaded our bags back in the truck and took a cab to our concert. They are changing the name and renovating and our room was not renovated and to be honest I don't no what they could do to save it. Very dirty. Shower curtain rod was just about broke off the wall. We literally just drove all night rather than stay after the concert. I was not expecting the Four Seasons but it was way rougher than than it should have been for what we paid.

We were on vacation and needed a place to catch a few hours of sleep and booked this place through hotels.com this was the most disgusting ran down hotel I've ever been in in my life in America and I'm a trucker so my range is pretty good. Everything you can imagine is wrong with this place there are too many things to go on about. I don't see how they are in business oh yeah most of the people there are pimps, prostitutes or dealers and that's nothing compared to what is physically wrong with this place. The city needs to shut this place down, I have no idea how they can pass any kind of inspection and the worst is yet to come so we booked through hotels.com and paid through them then we get there and they said they needed to swipe my card again so a few days later I see I've been double charged and now they aren't cooperating with a refund so now I have to go through a big ordeal to get this fixed. I will proceed until it is resolved, there is no way I'm paying twice for the worst hotel stay ever. If you are planning on staying here make other plans please take my word and advice you will be better off sleeping in your car. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!

The dark side of getting a place is when after you pay for a place to reserve it, you realize it could accomodate all but travelers... More details can be found by other travelers like me previousely. I will never stay there even for free!

Where do I start? Well, we arrive and the outdoor landscape was very different from the pictures online. We figured it was winter and there was an unexpected cold snap. HUGE sign on the window, "$25 per night" (Expedia charged us $50). At the desk, the clerk gave me the key. Told me to check out the room. If I liked it, come back and check in. The first room had one full bed in it. I booked two queens. So back to the desk I go. Next room, two beds, mold growing on the walls, a sink backed up with about 3 days worth of mold growing all over. The beds were nasty and the room smelled awful. Third room, we were asked if we wanted to have security walk us up. Um, no, I'm ok. Third room had the door propped open with a chair. One of the beds had been "used" and the bathroom had fog on the mirror (where it had also been "used"). I returned to the desk, texting my friends in the parking lot, "GET US A NEW ROOM NOW!" They responded, "YES! Get to the car, we're getting scared!" Turns out, cars pulled up on either side of them, people got out and started knocking on the windows, passing bottles of booze over the hood, leaning on the car and propositioning them. At the desk, I explained to the clerk that I couldn't stay here. I just don't feel safe. Told him that the third room had a guest already in it. He said it was likely maintenance (or what it most likely was, in my opinion, a hooker and her john, as there were so many all over the floor). He said Expedia would have to refund my money, which they did. But because I didn't actually stay there, Expedia wouldn't let me leave a review. STAY AWAY. DO NOT BOOK HERE. ESPECIALLY if you have kids with you. I could laugh about the drug use and prostitution with my adult friends. I would have cried if I had my kids with me.

We pulled up and the first thing we noticed was there were "security guards" everywhere. I had booked the hotel through a booking service, and my first thought was to run. I gathered my courage and walked inside, and went up to the desk. I told the desk clerk who I was and that I had a reservation. He punched a few keys on his computer and told me there was no record of the reservation, but if I wanted to stay, I could pay him, and just get the booking site to refund me later. I figured if I were going to pay again, it surely wasn't going to be there. The outside reeked of urine, there were empty beer bottles and cans everywhere. There were a lot of scary people hanging out on the balconies, and I'm pretty sure that one guy was trying to proposition my wife while I was inside. So, unless you're just desperate, don't do it. There are two much nicer hotels right across the street.

This hotel had came along way from what it use to be. The management team is so much better and cleaning up the property... Excellent Staff... Areterryo the asst general manager was excellent and willing to help all guest. Trella the lead housekeeper goes beyond call of duty

An absolutely terrible idea, no matter how you cut it. The rates are the cheapest you'll find, and so is the quality. The place is the definition of dilapidated and I've used some questionable hotels in the past. I asked to see several rooms as I needed longer term accommodations and every single one disgusted me. Roaches everywhere, even in the day. Doors and lights didn't work, nothing was included in the pricing and there was no indication they ever planned on addressing the state of the building. I'm not hard to please but I didn't even want to touch the bed and the pillows looked like they had been used to the point they were slightly thicker sheets. Stay ANYWHERE but here.. as someone who's hopped around the different places, I can say that with all sincerity. You health and safety are worth the couple of extra dollars you'll spend.
