The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse was a dream! We (2 adults and 2 teens plus a small dog) stayed there 4 nights and 5 days in the 2 King Suite. The views from the property over the Kachemak Bay are incredible, the community deck is huge with a perfect hot tub and a fully stocked beverage and s’mores fridge that we gladly enjoyed each night. Several grills too if someone wanted to cook outside. The two king beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had nice tiling and looked brand new. Care is truly taken to every detail. The coffee machine had all the coffee pods, creamers in the fridge, and sugar on hand plus some other snacks. Unlimited towels, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags. They thought if everything and were very generous. I also enjoyed the information about the history of the property and the family connection to Jewel the singer (who I actually saw perform at a bar before anyone out east knew her name around 1997 in Washington DC when she left Alaska, so that was a cool connection). And finally the decor inside and out completed the whole classy nature farmhouse style. We felt really spoiled having The Lighthouse to return to each evening after our days excursions and spent many hours in the hot tub. Thank you!

Beautiful view of Spit

The location of the Lighthouse was a great jumping off point for the Homer Spit for our family.

The room was clean and the location was beautiful

I would recommend black out curtains and the door lock worked about 25%of the time

took a while for the room to warm up; was a chilly at times. everything else was awesome!
