Agnes Cottage - Emerald

We checked many places and read many reviews before booking our 3 nights stay on La Digue in order to find the best place and we can honestly say that we found it in Agnes Cottage. :-) Starting with location that is quite and close to everything. The accomodation itself is very nice, spacious, very clean and with a big terrace overlooking great garden with many palms and fruit trees. The breakfast were ones of the best we experienced so far with plenty of fresh fruits, eggs, toasts, jams, etc. We strongly recommend to enjoy also the optional dinner which was by far the best food we had during our 2-weeks stay on Seychelles (thank you Chino!). Saving the best for last it was Agnes who made our stay unforgettable. Always smiling, always taking care of us, helping us to arrange taxi, bikes, boat excursion or dinner at Belle Vue (also strongly recommended). If we will return some days to La Digue it will be only to Agnes Cottage.

Agnes is a very warm and friendly person who made us feel at home during the five days we stayed there. She was very helpful in organizing the transportation for us from and to the jetty, getting rental bicycles, giving us advice, and proposing tours. We had very nice breakfasts with lots of fruits, some from Agnes' garden. We took dinner twice at the property, cooked by Agnes's husband Javier, who is an excellent cook and a very nice person, we enjoyed it a lot! The villa location is 10 minutes by bike away from the jetty and 10 minutes to Anse Source d'Argent, which is very convenient. The garden is wonderful with lots of coconut trees and fruits. The wifi connection is excellent compared to the two other locations we had during our vacation. Well-equipped kitchen and a large bed, big bathroom wilt a big shower space.

Mosquitos can be annoying during the evenings, make sure you come prepared. The bathroom sink was a bit clogged. The living quarters are not that big and after unpacking there was not much room left, but otherwise, everything is functional so we were not much bothered by this.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Agnes Cottage. Everything was perfect from start to finish. We felt very comfortable and relaxed .Agnes is very warm person and excellent host. Highly recommended 👌

The owner Agnes is such a nice person and very eager to make your stay as nice as possible. She even went out of her way to make my birthday even more memorable. Whenever we come back to La Digue, we will come back to Agnes 🥰

Es hat uns alles gefallen. Der Empfang war herzlich. Agnes stand jederzeit mit Empfehlungen und Telefonaten zur Seite. Der Bungalow Diamond House war top! Sehr gute Ausstattung, haben aber nie gekocht. Es gibt 2 sehr gute Take Aways in der Nähe (Gala ca 5 min zu Fuß). Lage fanden wir sehr gut…nicht mittendrin. Auf La Digue ist aber alles fast nebenan. In 5-10 min Laufweite gibt es einen Supermarkt (Kartenzahlung möglich). Wir haben einmal Abendessen gebucht… einfach top! Anreise: etwas schwer zu finden, lasst euch den Standort schicken und fahrt mit Taxi.

Agnes Cotteg, located in a good location. You can get along the local paths by bicycle (or on foot) faster and cut off the way! It's quiet and cozy in the evening!
