I would not have booked this stay had I known that there was no water at the cabin. It was a walk to the shower room for the sink and toilet too.
USUSThe location is breath taking. I had no idea when I booked it what a peaceful beauty property it was. The staff was very kind and helpful.
USBeautiful setting, newly built, clean, lovely breakfast, they have a sauna with a gorgeous view. The bathhouse is beautifully appointed with a bathroom dedicated to each cabin.
No toilet facilities in the cabin. One has to walk to the bathhouse to do all ablutions. Who wants to walk across a muddy carpark, through the cold and rain at night, after getting out of a warm, comfy bed to have a wee during the night? There isn’t even an umbrella to keep your head and torso dry while you dodge mud puddles and raindrops in the middle of the night to get to the lavatory. I suggest they get composting toilets for the cabins because while I can see why they didn’t want plumbing pipes all over the site, they really need to consider the weather they have and the path they expect guests to travel to get from cabin to lavatory. I know it is a revamped camp site but they aren’t charging campsite prices nor are guests expecting a campsite experience. Other than this, it is beautiful. I’ve harped on about the toilets because I have always been someone who gets up once or twice a night to use the lavatory (I am betting I am not alone) and have never had to get muddy and rained on to use the loo before.

This place is really special. It’s for the adventurous. The lake is stunning and the facilities are beautiful. Staff was excellent. We had such a good time here and felt well taken care of. I could come back here for a week just to read!!
USThe cabins are brand new and wonderfully decorated. The view is over the lake on some of them and it is very peaceful. Breakfast is brought to you in the morning and is was fresh. The sauna is at the lake and in our case right in front of the door of the cabin. Radiant heat was great as well.
The shower and toilet are not in the cabin. However, the facilities are close and very clean. It was not an issue for us at all. It is just something you should know.
USPeaceful and quiet. The rooms were very comfortable and well designed. Loved the sauna and dipping in the semifrozen lake.
