Prestige Oceanview Hotel Prince Rupert

Breakfast was good. Central location

Ferry was late, quite a wait for check in.

Pros: hotel staff were very helpful, heater/AC worked Cons: the hotel had a water leak and there was no water for hours in the morning. When a basic amenity such as running water is not available, there isn’t much that can make it a positive experience.

Breakfast was okay

The price is too high for seniors.

A visible parking area or a monitored parking area would be beneficial

Breakfast was very basic, having said that it was open since 5am, which allows you to have it and catch the early morning ferry, nice touch. Thanks!

Clean and walkable.

Rooms had a comfortable bed and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the first room we checked into was not as clean as expected. (We were provided with a second room which was better.)

Nice staff on checking in. However the person at checkout wasn’t very friendly. Only one elevator was working. The area around the hotel was very noisy with traffic and an intersection walk signal. The room was clean but had previous damage that had been sloppily repaired. Bathroom doorknob loose, baseboard paint all over the walls/floor and drywall obvious repairs. Free continental breakfast but it wasn’t the best. Coffee, juice, cutlery, milk and other items were empty and no one to refill. When a man finally refilled the coffee and juice, he did not look very professional as he was wearing an old hoodie and dirty jeans. The area around the hotel is dirty and has a lot of street people. The parking area looked sketchy.

Boil water advisory and only 2 complimentary water bottles...should be unlimited
