Candlewood Suites - Birmingham - Inverness by IHG

Ok so we stayed here back on the weekend of july 4th. The internet was out. Which no tv was possible. My wife and I both said, accidents happen it just bad timing. On the last weekend of august.We decided to give it another try. Well this time a water pipe had busted the day we arrived. It was fixed in a timely manner. The problem was, they had to drain the boilers that heats the water that goes to all the rooms. When the pipe was fixed. The boilers never could heat back up the water fast enough to keep up with the demand from the guests. So no hot water and with the water being off they weren't putting any chemicals in the pool.Also no use of the pool. Best part of the stay was location and guess services.

Location was great.

No hot water for 3 days, no extra pillows, and room phone did not work.

The location and staff was nice

We didn't have NO hot water, and they were still renting room out. Yes, they gave me my money back, but I could've went some where else if I knew we didn't have water. I came from Tennessee to see my family, and the trip was cut short because we weren't comfortable.

Very strong perfume smells in the hallway. I felt like i could taste it. The rooms were nice looking but looking at everthing, we did not have new tissue. There was waters in the fridge from the person who stayed prior to us. The roof collapsed on the first floor due to a water leak which caused us to not have hot water. While this may not have been controllable, we were not comforable with staying here. The staff did take care of us by providing a refund for one night. Shawn and one other employee that works morning shifts were really sweet and caring.

Our bathroom in our room was not clean at all. I will spare the details, but it was bad.

Staff was helpful and very nice. Clean room. Overall q0 out of 10.

Staff was very nice and responsive.

My stay was good. The bathtub needed to be slip resistant for safety. The shower and sink water pressure was too low. They don’t serve breakfast, I think they could at least provide a continental breakfast. I am giving 4 stars because the room was very clean and comfortable.
