They were out of everything.

The linen was dirty but the staff did come to change it. The water was cold and we had to be moved. The fire alarm went off 3 times in one night. My stay was awful. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The first room they gave me the lock didnt work on the front door. Thank goodness i checked. Not clean but I cleaned when I arrive. Sofa had stains. They moved me to another room due to door lock. The next room stunk. It had dusty, musty smelling, sheet had a whole in it, sofa had stains. I was unable to breathe in the room. I had to open the balcony door inorder to breathe. My company was closed so I couldnt be changed to another hotel. I called the front desk and told them I was having a hard time breathing in the room from the dirt etc. They upgraded me to a suite which was better I could breathe and the bedroom was in a separate area from the livingroom. I didnt turn on the AC in livingroom because I was afraid it would circulate dust from the massive curtains they have in all the rooms. Bedroom AC stayed on even thou I raised the temp to 75. I ended up putting a chair in front of the AC so it would blow on me. I would not recommend this hotel at all. I will tell me company not to use them again. Hotels need to get rid of the carpet which are usually fility and the curtains that are full of dust. Just put down laminate flooring or tile and black out blinds on the windows.

I’m a longtime Marriott Bonvoy Member, and this Courtyard Marriott on Butler Boulevard in Jacksonville is, without question, the worst Marriott property I’ve ever stayed in. I booked through Booking.com for three nights (Sept 12–15, 2025) but left after one. Room 423 was disgusting — filthy floors, mold, stains, and bugs. After waking up with bug bites that required a trip to urgent care, I notified the front desk. They moved me to another room, but it was no better — dirty, unkempt, and downright unsanitary. Meanwhile, the lobby was full of people who appeared to be on drugs, arguing and trying to check in while staff ignored it. Down the hallway near the ice machine, a pipe was leaking steadily, adding to the sense that this property has fallen into complete neglect. The worst part? The hotel refused to issue a refund, even for the nights I didn’t stay. The general manager never followed up. Marriott Corporate offered me “points” as if that makes up for medical bills and an infested room. We are more than a month later and this situation is still unresolved. If this is what the Marriott brand stands for now, I’m genuinely disappointed. Bonvoy Members — and any traveler — deserve better. Do not stay here. This place is filthy, unsafe, and management simply doesn’t care.
