Creta Maris Resort - All Inclusive

Everything about the resort was perfect.

Great location. Friendly staff. Great food. The property was maintained very clean . Amazing gardening all over the property. The beach was rocky as you entered. The ala cart restaurants very attentive and in great locations.

The resort should advertise as a family resort (not just family friendly). My husband and I chose this resort for our honeymoon (we’re in our mid 30s) and we were a bit frazzled that we were perhaps one of 2 or 3 other couples on the resort. 98% of the guests here were families with small children. We came in with resort expectations - all of you can eat and drink, fun activities for adults and a variety of experiences to partake in. All but 2 restaurants are buffets and the drinks were half pours and half glasses. This is 100% a fabulous place for families with family fun, not young singles or couples looking to let loose a bit and enjoy themselves. There were also a lot of odd rules in place - like you couldn’t dine at the same restaurant within a week, you couldn’t wear flip flops to dinner (this is all I packed for a resort) and you couldn’t leave or hold your beach spot. Overall we had a nice trip, but probably wouldn’t go back while in Crete as a single person or couple. The sustainability efforts of the resort, however, are impressive !

An excellent stay with the family. The only negative was that our 5-year-old was 3cm too short to go on the waterslides, which were the main reason for selecting the resort and caused much disappointment. The hotel explained there are the usual health and safety constraints, but this could have been made clearer at the time of booking. Otherwise, the staff were very helpful, hotel very clean with excellent facilities, food very good and plenty of activities to keep everyone amused.

My wife and I had our honeymoon here and we recently visited for our 7th anniversary. This resort is truly excellent. The staff is friendly and they will always help you however they are able to. Whether it’s a porter or the wait staff in the restaurants, everyone was pleasant. The resort has grown recently and now has a water park. It was a lot of fun for our son and he wanted to go back every day. The beach is absolutely beautiful. There are many fish swimming right next to you on the beach and if you are willing to snorkel out about 15 meters away from shore you can see many more. This is by far our favorite vacation spot in the entire world. We use this as our comparison resort everywhere we travel. They have simply done such an amazing job making everything about the experience great at Creta Maris.
