"Online Booking Beware - Hotel Needs TLC"

We were traveling mid January and needed a place to stay. We typically always stay in Marriott hotels so looked on our app as to what was close and available. Booked a king room at this hotel. When we arrived there were no king rooms available because there was some sort of tournament in the area. We were put in a queen room which normally would not cause a complaint but this room was so small, my first thought was that it was a closet turned into a room because it was tucked back behind the elevator. One Queen bed with almost no space anywhere to set our suitcases. The pool was out of order which it did not warn us of upon booking and the entire hotel was dirty and musty (the window in the gym room was so filthy I couldn't even see out of it). In the big scheme of things the hotel was fine and we survived the night the only reason I am writing a review is because we were charged $516.31 for a one night stay in what I would not even rate a 2 star hotel. If these chains can not find staff to properly run the hotel then they need to stop filling to capacity and expecting half the staff to do twice the work and they need to get a little more realistic about the price point.
