Fairfield Inn Richmond Chester

I booked a king room and the person at the from desk completed my reservation without saying one word. I didn't realize it until I walked in the room. I called back down to ask was there a mix up. She said no, that's all we had. It would be nice to know this in advance. I'm disappointed in my service.

Room was clean and up to date.

Staff was seamed to be not well trained. My incidental charge to my room was more than the cost of my room stay. Never had such and experience.

Location

The room that I stayed in had a very strong and repulsive odor ... It smelled horrible. There was the smell of piss near the head of the bed. The carpet was extremely dirty and filthy. We asked for another room, but was told there weren't any. I canceled my second night because we just couldn't Stand the horrible smell. The only reason we stayed the one night is because it was 2 o'clock in the morning and I had driven 15 hours. It was a total disappointment. Additionally, there were small biting bugs in the room. The room is in serious need of an exterminator and some deep cleaning. Somebody dropped the ball on Customer Service. The only good thing I can say about your hotel at this point is that your breakfast was very good. I will never, ever stay in another Fairfield Inn and I will not recommend it to anyone. Nice restaurants near nearby in walking distance alot of stores in walking distance. Very nice and friendly staff.

Staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent, tasty even.

The bed was uncomfortable, the toilet was really low, marks on the walls, tears in the wallpaper, floors damaged, the entire hotel needs a redo. And there was no side chair for me to sit in

It was a comfortable stay. However, if there's no diligent upkeep, this Fairfield will be similar to a seedy Red Roof Inn. It could use a deep cleaning.

The closet space could be bigger

Disappointed- stains, wear, and unpleasant smells in hallways and common areas. Wear and cigarette smell in room. Shower wall surround not caulked well causing black cracks. Stained tub floor. Breakfast was not good. Out of waffle mix. Out of bread for toast one morning.
