"Simple, clean and quiet"

Basic and met our needs well for a great price. Was worried the room would be noisy being above a pub that was busy and open until late, but didn't hear a sound from downstairs. Check in was very efficient and friendly. Room was clean and felt recently refurbished.

Comfortable pillows. Bartender very polite

Food was disgusting. Garlic bread very dry, macaroni cheese absolutely vile and chips well over done. Too much salad put on plate but the salad was clearly old too as It was dry. Fish well overcooked. Also wouldn't kill the manager to crack a smile!

"Great overnight stay, and easy access to the city within 20mins drive."

Pub food was very good quality and great value for money, the noise levels were incredibly good considering the number of people and sports screens on too.

Darker (black out) curtains would have been a benefit
