3 Cambridge Villas

This was a great place for me as a single traveler. The room was perfect. It had a nice little en suite bathroom and a comfortable bed. Andy, the proprietor, was awesome! He took very good care of my “special needs.” I had to store a bike while I was there and he was very accommodating. He also provided me with a little extra heater when I couldn’t get warm. (I can’t seem to get warm in this English climate!) It was great to start each day with a warm breakfast. It’s a communal breakfast room, so it was fun to meet and talk with other travelers each morning. The location is super! You can get to anything in Ambleside with a short walk. The bus stop is right around the corner and that makes traveling to other area towns and villages much easier. It’s a great place to stay. I highly recommend!

This is a very minor thing, but it would have been nice to have more variety on the breakfast front. The breakfasts were very good, but they were the same every morning.

Great location in Ambleside. Good breakfast including hot food. Loved the sausages. Helpful Andy gave us advice. Free parking in nearby AFC with pass from B&B. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Could open the window.

Convenient location in centre of Ambleside. A bit less expensive than other B&Bs in the town, at least when booking at the last minute. Friendly welcome.

Breakfast limited, not the usual 'full English' but not the full Continental either. Bed not that comfortable, could feel the springs. Weekend evenings were noisy, especially at the back of the premises where we were.

Room clean breakfast good. location in the middle of town, close to pubs restaurant, bus station.

Excellent host nothing was too much trouble. Buffet breakfast was great with lots of choice incl hot breakfast of sausage, scrambled egg, hash brown and beans as well as cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and toast. Great central location and arranged free parking available just a short distance away

It is centrally located on a one way street. Our room overlooking the street was comfortable and quiet so slept really well. The owner was very friendly and helpful, wanting everyone to feel welcome. We would definitely return.
