"Hotel from a bygone period that kept its charm "

It is a great old hotel that is in need for major renovation. It has lots of class and from a bygone age. It has a modern state of the art SPA with Hammam and inside warm pool and outside pool. It offers the Best Lebanese traditional breakfast. The rooms have traditional linens with the insignia of the hotel. You don’t need to use the air conditioning as there is a Brease at night. It is a bit secluded at night or if you want to go to a restaurant to eat you have to take a taxi to go and another to come back. Very nice staff and helpful.

Excellent hotel! The scene and location is breathtaking. The indoor pool and spa must be visited. Very relaxing! Restaurant staff should smile more often and they could be friendlier. Other than that, it was amazing! Would definitely go again.

"Stay in the city instead"

We read the reviews and knew what to expect with this being an older hotel. The room was large and had a great view of the city and up the coast. The breakfast was okay-they had Turkish coffee and instant, but they charged us for cappuccinos. Also, our first morning we ordered omelets from the chef, but the second day they had prepared scrambled eggs, so they refused to make omelets. The view was lovely, as I said, however, there wasn’t much in this neighborhood and we we ended up driving a lot back and forth into the city. It was too cold to use the pool and the indoor pool was only for 18+.

Very welcoming staff, great location, peacefully nested on one of the most beautiful hills of the mountain of Lebanon with superb view of the meditarrenean sea, Beirut and the Lebanese mountains. Beautiful garden and outstanding Spa. el Giardino restaurant served exquisite Italian cuisine
