Econo Lodge Dumas

Econo Lodge of Dumas, Texas fits the bill for a budget stay. I don't need much in a motel: a clean room, comfortable bed, a bathroom, reasonable wi-fi, and enough quiet to sleep well. This place provides those for around $80 including taxes. The new owners are upgrading the decor and floors.

Heater control knob in room is missing

The door did not have a lock on it and my 2 year old escaped out the room. The employee screamed at me. I’m suing for the unsafetyness of it.

Good check in

It was basically okay, but the mini-fridge wasn't plugged in. Not an issue if you don't need it, but I kinda did. Fortunately it was a cold night so I just left my groceries in the car.

Front desk friendly but room dirty. Window was open and wouldn’t latch. Lights not working.

I was originally given a first floor room at my request as a disabled individual on oxygen. When I took the key and went to the room, it was occupied. The only other room was on the second floor. After driving all day, and with their no refund policy because of the timing that I booked the room, I decided to take the second floor room. I spoke to Roshan as I was checking out and expressed my dissatisfaction. We agreed he would refund me 50% of the room rate. Apparently he was only trying to appease me, as here it is 3 weeks later and no refund. Also, if you bring your service dog or pet, please note the only area of grass is on the outside of the fence, in the front of the establishment, on the busy highway.
