Ramada by Wyndham Lake Placid

This hotel needs a bulldozer. There’s absolutely no excuse for the horrible condition of the rooms. The toilet seat was damaged beyond repair (it’s a $30 item FFS, there’s no reason for this), the furniture was chipped and broken and in desperate need of replacement. Do not stay here.

This stay was a hurricane evac from Milton. The good - The staff, and especially the General Manager, Carmen New, were amazing. She was there for at least 24 hours checking in evacuees and making sure we were all settled before going home to her own family for the storm. She and her staff were back full steam on Thursday morning to feed us all She dealt with allot of very anxious people and was unflappable throughout. Rooms have been remodeled and were clean and comfortable, but The not so good - Only negative was that there was a significant gap between the door and the threshold which led to rain coming in under the door. Luckily we spotted this before going to bed and were able to mitigate the issue.

We were there to escape a hurricane and found the hotel clean and comfortable. I would definitely return

When we arrived we learned that the facility had no ground floor rooms and no elevator. Being disabled, there were no rooms I could get to. The front desk was helpful in helping us find other accommodations.

We had to evacuate for the hurricane and the Ramada was great! Easy check in, friendly staff and very clean! And pet friendly was a plus! Thank you so much for our wonderful experience!

Honestly, I have nothing but amazing things to say about this hotel. We had to evacuate our campground due to hurricane Helene and came across this hotel at the very last moment. I contacted to hotel late at night in a frantic state and spoke with a lovely young lady at the front desk that answered all my questions and assured me that our dog would be accepted and there would be plenty of room for our camper in the parking lot. We were able to check-in early and I was able to park the camper right outside our room. Check-in was smooth and quick and staff was efficient and very friendly. The room was impeccable. Very clean. Nice updates. The beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff have been amazing, in particular Carmen. She had been very kind and accommodating. We even extended our stay by one night as we couldn’t access our campground until the next day. We thought about getting a hotel closer to my husband’s job but the thought of possibly moving to something that was not near as nice as this wasn’t worth it. If we ever have to evacuate again, this is where we will go! For sure!!! Excellent hotel!

Staff was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous.

Toilet seat was broken, Facilities clearly had excessive use, temperature never got colder than probably 75°… while the AC said it was 70° temperature never changed from the time that we got in the room. Sheets were dirty, The room had a very stale smell to it. I wasn’t expecting a lot considering how far out it was, but it was definitely more disappointing than I expected. As someone who lives in Miami, I do understand to not expect as much but WOW.
