The Federal

This is a nice hotel that is located near downtown Brunswick. I did not give it 5 stars because our bathroom was so funky. You had to walk ALL the way in before you were able to close the door. It was very awkward. It had fewer room amenities than I expected - no little coffee maker or supplies.

Bed was uncomfortable, many small lumps

Staff was very responsive to our needs.

Pretty hotel and room was nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens.2 bottles of water and a fridge. The problem was the location of the room at the back of the building, so close to the highway. I'm guessing that the other side of the building - facing the front door- is probably more quiet. We had a terrible night's sleep, the sound of the highway was extremely loud.

Great restaurant and lobby

This property is gorgeous! A perfect location for a special occasion! It was a little tricky to find, but worth the hunt. The robes was also a luxurious touch! Our waiter (Reynolds) at the on-site restaurant was delightful and the food was superb.

The room could have used one more lighting fixture, but it was beautiful in the daylight.

Staff went out of their way to be accommodating. Nice facility with friendly, pleasant staff
