Union Hotel

Close to where we needed to be and clean

My room was a double twin, so left very little room for anything other than the beds. But I checked-in early and that's what they had at that time. The bathroom was large and well-designed, although the sink is oddly tiny. Except for those inconveniences, the hotel is darn-near perfect. My room had a small walk-in closet, which allowed for luggage to be placed aside and easily unpacked. Service is impeccable but not unfriendly, and the style of the place is an interesting mix of 60s and 70s, lots of bronzes, gold-tones and mustards. You're almost not sure if the furnishings and fixtures are actually old, or meant to look that way. But everything works perfectly and is spotless. The lobby cafe is solid, except for being largely windowless. The front signage is an enigma, just a cloth sign hanging there, but there is construction next door, so maybe that's what's up. But all in all, highly recommended, especially if you don't like faceless corporate mega-hotels.

The location couldn't be beat. The coffee shop inside was great. The smell in the lobby was amazing and the soaps in the rooms were awesome (Routine brand). Beds were super comfy. The only things I would change was that the room felt a bit hot with the a/c running as low as it would go 24/7 which might be bad in the dead of summer and there was no light in the closet. Otherwise we loved it!

Lovely hotel conveniently located close to Union Station with a nicely designed and lively front area for relaxing, social gatherings, large tables to work at and a small attached lounge. Had a great glass of wine there! Only comment I have is the mattress was extra firm and could have used a larger mirror and a makeup mirror in the bathroom. Nothing serious and would stay there again!

It was cute and perfect for what we needed. Very close to Union station as we travelled into the city for a concert. The king bed was so comfy.

I enjoyed my stay at the Union Hotel and was in a great location to get around to multiple locations. Checkin was easy, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were really friendly. You have the train station and underground nearby for easy transportation options which made my journey to events easy. If you’re looking for a great hotel in the center of multiple attractions, I recommend the Union Hotel.

Always a great stay, small rooms but perfect location, very friendly staff.

This is not a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star. Feels like a dorm room. Staff is friendly.

The room was compact but well thought out. The bathroom would have benefited from an extra wall hook. We were there as tourists and found the lobby area a good space for hanging out but not for too long as the piped in music was a touch too loud.
