This is a boutique hotel in downtown Picton. Every room is unique and has its charm and a very unusual interior design. A set of candles in the fireplace and a very comfortable king-size bed made our stay especially enjoyable. But the focal point was a dinner at their restaurant. It's French cuisine, and every dish, from appetizers to dessert, was exceptional.

The breakfast in the morning is excellent. The bed was comfortable.

I selected this hotel because it was highly rated and I chose an upgraded room. The staff were very friendly, the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. But overall I was disappointed. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay.

There were no comfortable chairs and the TV was small compated to the distance from the bed. There was only one convenient plug to use to recharge our electronics. The wifi service was poor (reported to staff). There were no flat surfaces to organize toiletries, clothes and other items for the day. We had a ground floor room so we needed to close the curtains but this was challenging since they were tied behind furniture. Management should experience the rooms by acting like visitors.

Absolutely everything- we had a wonderful stay, everything was just perfect. Merrill House is a charming boutique hotel and we loved every minute. Room 301 on the top floor (front) was perfect and so quiet. The staff were amazing and so, so friendly and helpful. Everything was absolutely immaculate and the ‘gourmet’ breakfasts were definitely that! Would highly recommend a stay there!

Wonderful boutique hotel….from the moment of check in we felt right at home. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. We loved the charm and eclectic decor and loved our stay. Everything is immaculate. Room 301 at the top (facing front) was beautiful - individual touches like hand written notes from the staff made us feel so welcome too. The gourmet breakfast was absolutely delicious! Would definitely stay again- 10++/10

Breakfast was lovely. Excellent service and will return for dinner sometime.
