Hampton Inn Salem East - Electric Road

Overall it’s good.

We reserved for 3 and when we arrived we were told we only had a king bed. After several tries and like a favor they gave sheets to arrange some pillows on the floor just to discover there were a sofa came in the bedroom. Clean service were just “basic”.

Staying there by myself was a joy in comfort!

As a last minute option (we booked it while sitting in the parking lot!), we were extremely happy with our choice. Friendly staff, clean room, wonderful breakfast, and even a no cost EV charger! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we are traveling through this area. First rate!

We stayed a night on our way back from the beach and it was a very nice hotel. The breakfast in the morning had a nice variety and the room was clean and comfortable.

We just needed a quiet place to stay the night during a long trip. It's a bit off the nearest highway, but it is worth the extra time to get there for the quiet comfort provided at this location.

Very clean and quiet property. Nice location away from the interstate. About 5 miles. Nice, welcoming lobby. Parking seems somewhat limited, but there's overflow. Corner property located on a hill so parking is limited on the front side parking lot. The rear overage parking enters the property on the 4th floor, but is key room access only. So check-in first on the front side, to get your key. Bottled water not offered upon checking in. But he offered us milk for the bakery cookies we had with us. Nice touch - thank you. The corner king room was quite large and very nice. Almost wish we were staying more than one night to enjoy it. Garbage bags in the trash cans here. More sanitary than without. Comfortable semi-firm mattress, not so great pillows - fluffy and flat. Reasonable blackout curtain on one window. The blackout curtain over the A/C unit does let some morning light through. Large shower. Reasonable lighting. Decent shower head and flow patterns, and set very high for us tall folks. The flow rate was acceptable. Plenty of power outlets for your devices. Microwave and fridge. TV. Good mix of carpeted and un-carpeted floors. Standard Hampton breakfast layout, but for the size of the hotel, the seating seemed somewhat limited. Small milk containers but only sitting on ice, not in a refrigerated cabinet. I’ve written in the past about slow elevators at nearly all Hampton Inn's, but this one is the exception. These elevators ran at what most would consider “normal” hotel elevator speeds.
