Owl House Niseko

If you are reading this review look no further and book this amazing house. We are a family of 4, our son and daughter slept in the lower 2 bedrooms and we slept upstairs. The house is well laid out with a large area for ski storage, laundry, bathroom and shower on the lower level. Second level has a work station, en-suite master bedroom, large living room with gas fireplace, huge windows with a beautiful view of Mt Yoti, dining room table and full sized kitchen ( there are no condiments or paper towels) There is a nespresso maker, but it is impossible to find pods in this part of Japan, so bring your own. We shopped in Kutchen at the Lucky grocery store. There are only convenience stores in Niseko, ok for a quick shopping. Restaurants also tend to be very busy so if you have the time do your research and make dinner reservations before arriving to the area. This house is also in a perfect area, just down the road about a 10 minute drive to the base of Grand Hirafu where there is free parking. Only a 5 minute walk up the hill to the main drag of Niseko. Niseko Portfolio does a great job managing this property and took care of all our needs ( booked our Onsen tour, helped with ski rental,booked our snowmobile tour) Loved our stay here!

Comfortable and great drying room

We rented the full home for 8 adults but only 4 could make it. The house was incredibly modern and spacious with good water pressure, facilities, and rooms for ski equipment. We used the laundry machines, stove, refrigerator, and hot water pot daily. Internet was fast and instructions simple. There was 8 feet of snow upon arrival but the property managers had cleared the walkway and driveway.

The turn around in the tight driveway caused me to slightly dent my rental car. The property managers had very specific requirements about how and where to park, and that information was passed along only at the last minute. The snow removal trucks did not service the road as often as the main roads. The heater was too efficient and we had to adjust down and eventually turn off to prevent the home from overheating.
