Beautifully decorated, unique, clean

The TV in our room didn’t connect to apps- which made it challenging to watch something to relax.

אין הנגשה, נאלצנו לסחוב מזוודות מאוד כבדות במדרגות. בחרנו מלון עם מעלית, ושילמנו יותר ממלונות אחרים בשביל שלא נצטרך להתמודד עם מדרגות. חבל שלא מצויין בבוקינג שיש 6-7 מדרגות בכניסה למלון, ועוד 3-4 מדרגות מהלובי למעלית, ואז, כדי להגיע לחדר שלנו, צריך לצאת מהבניין וללכת לבנין אחר, גם שם יש מספר מדרגות עד שמגיעים למעלית. בכלל, הנגשה זה משהו שמאוד לא מודעים אליו באוסטריה. לאנשים מוגבלים לא מגיע להנות מחופשה? רצפת העץ.בחדר ישנה, חורקת ודורשת החלפה מיידית. החדר מאוד ישן.

A lovely hotel with a unique atmosphere and a great location close to the Old City. The spa is small but beautiful, and our room overlooking the garden was charming and inviting. The service throughout our stay was excellent.

Unfortunately, we had a significant issue with the massage. We booked a full-body massage, but what we received did not even cover half of the body. The areas that were treated were handled professionally and well, but the overall experience was very disappointing. Had I known in advance that this was what the treatment would be like, I would not have booked it, especially not at that price. We were told to wait for the manager, who was on vacation, to address the matter, but we did not want to delay our trip for that. The hotel itself deserves the highest rating without question, but this incident significantly affected our experience and led me to lower my score. It's a shame.

Once in a while I wish TA would allow you to give a score higher than 5. Last time that happened it was during a trip to Slovenia. This time it was our stay at Hotel Auersperg. The hotel is a little out of the Old Town but within easy walking disrtance of all the sights and restaurants. Access from the airport is so easy by the number 2 bus which stops around the corner. We also used buses to go to St Gilgen and Schloss Hellbrunn using the free travel pass hotel guests in Salzburg are entitled to. The staff are the key to any hotel and without exception they were friendly, polite and helpful. One commented that they are there to solve problems at any time of the day or night- what a fabulous attitude! We loved the fact that receptionists are not hidden behind a high desk but sit at low tables where you can chat more easily. Check in was really efficient and my birthday later in the week was remarked upon when checking my passport leading to a lovely note and drink in the room on my birthday ltself. We had a superior garden view room which was spacious with a walk in wardrobe and lovely small seating area on the balcony overlooking the garden. The aircon is efficient once you understand that the windows have to be closed for it to operate properly. Breakfast was a delight- lots of fruit, meat, cheeses as well as the option to order eggs. One thing I particularly liked was the number of seating areas- in the lovely lounge, the garden or under cover outside the restaurant. The weather was varied during our stay but we always found somewhere to sit and read or enjoy a glass of Austrian wine. A special mention to Stephanie ( apologies if the spelling is wrong) who served us in the bar. She was so friendly and engaging yet professional. In many ways she summed up the Hotel Auersperg.
