Holiday Inn Express Detroit-Birmingham by IHG

Fabulous place!!! We loved it!!

Breakfast was awesome. Far better than any other hotel breakfast I have had.

Elevator was a little grubby. Floor baseboard trim was removed and just a bunch of glue on the walls.

Very convenient and nice professional staff.

After two weeks in Ireland and UK came into DTW late from Edinburgh. Still had 3.5 hours drive to Northern Michigan. Just needed a good night’s rest in warm and familiar surroundings of our old hometown, Birmingham. Mission accomplished! Great sleep and ready for the last leg of our journey.

It is a fabulous hotel and every bit the Holiday Inn Express quality. AND it is tightly squeezed in on its piece of property there on Woodward. Staff great.

They need new luggage carts. The older ones they have are large and barely fit through the room doors.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the nightly “drag races” on Woodward and the Dairy Mat.

Thicker bath towels. Thanks you!

People and service were very good. I appreciate the “breakfast included” approach.

The Exercise Room was very poor. Very very small with little equipment. Difficult to exercise with more than two people present.

Clean room, but chose specifically for the location.

Housekeeping banging on the door at 9:00 am and then trying to open it. It was two hours before check out time and we had the "do not disturb" sign hanging on the outside of our door. They should also be able to tell in their system once someone has checked out. No reason to disturb people still in their room.

Boutique hotel within walking distance for all. Nice well kept property. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms clean and modern.
