great find and value for what you get. Super nice staff, close to the beach and great view from the pool. Food was excellent too.

Amazing beach just 5 min walk. The sea is ruff like everywhere on that coast, so one should be very careful while going into water. The hotel garden is very nice. The owners are friendly. The food is good. It is a bit uphill, but you will be rewarded by great views they charge extra 15% for the card (but are accepting it, because some hotels dont)

I chose Villa Margarita for its multiple positive reviews and was not disappointed. First, all bedrooms are located over the top of a hill, most of them having a nice view of the sea. Second, Mila was an exceptional host; she warmly welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know. We stayed in the suite with a mountain view, which was very spacious and private, and its bathroom was immaculate. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and I will totally recommend Villa Margarita for a nice vacation surrounded by nature and close to the beach.

The wi-fi wasn't working due to weather conditions, but Mila let us use her cellphone network to use banking apps and make quick calls. For anyone travelling to the Tayrona, I suggest getting a Claro sim card, the operator with the best signal in the area.

it’s closed to the road so it’s quite noisy. moreover there’s always a restaurant or people putting really loud music. therefore I wouldn’t recommend it to light sleeper. we didn’t get much sleep there.

We’ve been traveling through South America for 1 year and Posada Villa Margarita has been our favorite stay. The place is absolutely magical. It is a family owned posada with an amazing familial atmosphere and the kindest staff that make you feel immediately at home. We ate delicious homemade meals and pastries during our stay. The room was stunning, with a view that looks like a painting. Bed was very comfy and lots of pillows! We stayed in the Mirador de la Sierra room which had a beautiful private balcony and hammock. There is a beautiful pool onsite that overlooks the ocean and mountains, we spent lots of time here! Access to the beach is very easy, a short walk on a stunning plant-filled boardwalk. The closest beach has a great local atmosphere and rarely gets crowded. There are a couple restaurants there with some tasty food and rentable chairs to lounge on if you wish to spend a day at the beach! Access to the bus that takes you to Tayrona, and even further into Palomino is very easy. Perfect for day trips into the park or further down the coast! We had booked one week, and ended up extending for another. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! Couldn’t think of a better way to come experience this part of Colombia.

Very nice atmosphere and very welcoming hosts. Nice views, close to the beach and shops. Room was nice and clean with hammock and place to chill. Great food :)
