Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort

Good value for a good size room. The restaurant was nice with great staff and a decent breakfast.

Noisy people at the pool until after 11pm. Could hear neighbors talking very clearly in our room. The room lacked certain commonplace like a closet, but it was spacious.

It was an amazing resort. Great pool for the kids and good bar by the pool. The rooms were nicely sized.

Tapatio accomidated our request for a specific room so we could celebrate our anniversary in the same room every year.

Agree with other reviewers. Beautiful setting, nice pools and golf course, wonderful breakfast and nice staff in restaurant. We were in building 6 downstairs. At 7 pm I called because we were the only ones in the building and I wanted to be in a building with more people around. Operator told me more people would be arriving (a family arrived ~8 pm). She said the only room we could move to was the same room in building 7 (which had the same number of residents). I asked why that was the only building we could go to and she said because of our "level" (which I assume meant price). We weren't paying a rock bottom price--booked direct through resort. Resort was not busy mid-week and there were obviously many rooms available. We travel extensively and are often upgraded when hotels are not busy. I was surprised they had only two rooms in the resort at our "level." As stated by other reviewers, rooms need renovation (bathroom cabinets in poor condition, drapes were hanging off rod--which cleaning staff should have corrected, and several flies in the room). Wanted to recommend the resort to our travel club, but can't because of our experience.

The receptionist young chap seemed a little tired and not really friendly and welcoming. Not the usual Texas welcome! The rooms were rather dated and the toilet door would slam into the toilet bowl itself which was rather annoying.There was a huge cockroach on the floor when we arrived too....not the best welcome!
