Waterlovers Beach Resort

Staff was amazing. Small resort so very intimate and thankfully no screaming children.

The bed was a little too hard and there was no fridge. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Very good all round. Picture postcard spot. Nice people and good food.

Confusion about paying for dinner (it was included - but they were confused, tried to charge us, and had no-one to talk to to clear it up for 24 hours)

We were visiting Waterlovers on our honeymoon. We loved the boutique size and great location. The property is stunning and beautifully designed for relaxing beachfront. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and you can tell that the management create a motivating great work environment. The manager Peter was super welcoming and also very helpful when we had an issue with our safari, taking all steps to sort it for us.

The penthouse was fabulous - location on the beach fantastic and staff super helpful and friendly.

The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home right away. I had forgotten to put in my booking that we had our 1 year old daughter with us and the staff were not fazed at all. We arrived very late but they had thought ahead to ask the driver who collected us from Mombasa to take our order for dinner so there was food for us when we arrived even though the kitchen had closed. The hotel is really beautiful and has an amazing view of the sea. The way the sunbeds and pool is laid out it feels like you are on the beach without actually being on the beach. If you wish to get in the sea it is just down some steps. The staff helped us with all encounters with the hawkers on the beach. It is definitely the most beautiful of the resorts in the area that we saw online and in real life when we explored the area. It looks exactly like the pictures which I have found is not always the case with hotels on booking.com. The food was really good and was much better than what we had been eating on safari and in Nairobi. The highlights were the prawns and tuna. We would have enjoyed a little more variety and African influenced food on the menu but there were daily specials which hit the spot. The staff did seem a little hurt when we had dinner out one night (there's a really good Korean restaurant just at the end of the driveway to the hotel). As the hotel is so small it is understandable that they would want you to eat/spend money with them rather than elsewhere.

There was nothing we didn't like. This was honestly one of the best hotels I have been to.

The hotel is just as pictured - gorgeous views from everywhere on the property. The staff were lovely - friendly, always wanting to help, etc. The room was very comfortable and close to everything. As we were both somewhat unwell when we arrived, we would have liked a few more basic options on the dinner menu as our appetites were not there and it was difficult to find simple food that we felt we could handle. Otherwise a perfect stay!

Wir wurden superfreundlich empfangen. Von der ersten Minute fühlten wir uns im Paradies. Die Anlage ist klein und sehr ruhig und sehr gepflegt.
