For sure the location. It is in the core centre. Clean. Full of light. If the temperature is warm, there are fans. Communication with the owners is very responsive. The distance to Edinburgh airport is close to 30mins. By taxi, it is around £40. You can also walk 5 minutes to the station and take the bus - coming every ten minutes which costs £6 per person.

The apartment is a little studio flat. If you have big luggage, think twice as there are lots of stairs - or else try your luck and ask for a ground floor apartment. It is a one-bedroom, surely not to be offered for four persons. The sofa bed (which is not comfortable at all) is in the little kitchenette/dining/living. Unfortunately, it is presumely assumed that when you stay there, you either heat something in the microwave or else cook something easy, or dine out. There is only a hob with two plates. No oven. The microwave is basic - no oven function. There is a small fridge with no freezer compartment. All of this limits your options if you choose a self-catering apartment, to not dine in restaurants.

We were on the top floor with no lift. If you have anyone with health issues make sure you request lower floors.
