Citybreak-apartments Bolhao

Very good location, within walking distance to Bolhao market. Rooms were spacious with full air conditioning in both rooms. Room was generally very quiet considering close proximity to main street.

The shower could do with some modernising.

Unfortunately there was only one good thing about this property - an excellent location - while very busy and lively during the day, it was quiet at night (at least it was quiet on the Thursday night we stayed there).

The apartment was neglected (e.g., no push button on top of toilet, no soap/gel in bathroom and shower gel container empty, stained bathroom ceiling, garden area full of weeds and very unpleasant). Even worse, it felt uncomfortably damp in the bedrooms, despite turning up the air conditioning. It had been raining heavily for two weeks before we came and the manager admitted that the apartment hadn't been used for a few days before we arrived and that it hadn't been checked and aired that day - so it is possible that it isn't always damp. However, even though we aired it for hours after we arrived, we felt the dampness in the evening and overnight, affecting our sleep. We had to leave after that first night as it was too uncomfortable (it was a 4-night booking) - we asked the managers to find us alternative accommodation or to cancel and refund our booking. They didn't do either and they insisted the apartment was fine, denying the validity of our experience. A very unpleasant experience.

Good location in city center. All types of businesses close by.

Poor cleaning. Awful apartment Maintenance. Mildew on bed pillow.,Very leaky shower pan, peeling paint all over, missing tiles, no batteries on tv , poor tv reception in bedroom, and so on.

Central to everything. Clean and comfortable. Nice to make our own food sometimes.

NO SOAP IN BATHROOM TOASTER MISSING IN KITCHEN NEEDED TO STAND ON CHAIR TO GET CUPS IN KITCHEN CUPBOARDS Toilet flush button missing. On arrival both patio doors open. Was it not cleaned and ventilated from previous let?

Good value overall. Located on a great pedestrian street. Easy self check-in. Sofa bed was quick and easy to assemble with blanket and pillows included. Nice bars along the street outside the apartment that close at reasonable hour. Would have liked if the apartment had ground coffee (including filters for coffee machine), milk, bottled water, etc. but unfortunately there was nothing in the fridge/cupboards. Bit of a climb to the apartment as on the 3rd floor but very manageable if no mobility issues.
