It was a bit musty in some rooms but so clean and beautiful - maybe an air freshener to keep it fresh? Could also have been the plentiful rain leading up to our stay

White Roses is a the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. All furnishings are of good quality and everything was spotlessly clean. Nice big bedroom with huge comfy bed and a light and cosy living room. We were kept up to date online with directions, and there was even an app sent to us with lots of local information and everything we needed to know while staying. Lovely little private enclosed patio area outside the bedroom for enjoying a quiet coffee, and a large open patio and garden on the other side. The area around the property is quiet with no passing traffic as it is almost at the end of the road where a path leads to the beach. Our little cavapoo loved it too.

The garden was lovely and would have been perfect if it was fully secure and we could have let the dog have a run around. The beach was so near that it wasn’t a big issue.

Location was ideal with a good choice of pubs etc near by, The accommodation was perfect in every way.

That having booked and paid, I then had to pay a deposit of £500 or buy an insurance policy in case of damage. Not impressed at all, in my opinion it should be added to the original booking not hidden in the small print.

We usually stay in large houses and we’re a bit sceptical as this is a 1 bedroom bungalow however it was very spacious, light and airy and the garden made it extra special. It is in a location we love, a stones throw from the beach and an easy walk to village pubs for food and drink. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday.

Nothing to improve on for us.

The location was excellent as we could walk to the shops. We had a wonderful break at the property. The bed was huge and very comfortable. It was lovely to have 2 outdoor seating spaces - they caught the sun at different times of the day. They accepted a dog and had made provision for its stay - even leaving some dog biscuits!

The gas safety certificate in the visitor folder was dated 2020. The electrical safety certificate in the folder was dated 2021. The PAT testing stickers on all appliances were dated 2020. A dog is not allowed to stay in the property unaccompanied at any time - had this information been available when booking we would have chosen a different property.

Very comfortable with privacy.

No material concerns. In the kitchen there was no cooking foil and a jammed up roll of clingfilm. I bought a new one and left it at the property. There was only one well used j cloth and a single used Brillo type pad. I had to buy my own. The washing up liquid was almost out but lasted my stay. I had to get some biodegradable caddy bin liners as there were none in the property. All little things but could have been spotted by the cleaner. It might also be an idea to check the fridge too as it didn’t seem to be cool enough even when turned up. That could be more problematic in warmer weather.

Location excellent and parking was a bonus, our second stay here in 6 years and still holds the same high standards as to when we first stayed. Thanks for another great stay.
