Glendale View

We enjoyed our stay. The host was warm and welcoming.

This was the best B&B we have ever stayed in! Husband and I booked two nights and we were very pleased with the room. Spacious room with king sized bed, the decor was pleasing and meticulously thought out. The bed was more comfortable than our own bed at home. Breakfast was delicious and prepared with care. Service was very friendly and attentive. From the room, to the service, to the food, everything was fabulous. I wish all B&Bs were like this. There was nothing “cheap” about the stay as everything was high quality, from the decor to linens, but the price was very reasonable for the Isle of Skye.

In the two weeks we spent in Scotland, our stay at Glendale View was by far our favorite. Jane is the ultimate host and no detail is overlooked. She has abundant knowledge of the area, made dinner reservations for us when we arrived late and hungry, and is a superb chef! The room we stayed in was so comfortable and I had some of the best sleep of my life there. The accommodation is also very roomy, something that most rooms in Scotland lack. The area is remote, but that was exactly what we were looking for. I'll forever remember eating breakfast in her beautiful breakfast room watching the sheep graze on the nearby hills. A truly memorable stay and a lovely, lovely host.

Loved our two nights at Glendale View. Jane is incredibly welcoming and could not be more helpful. Dinner on out first night was really enjoyable and better than most of the meals we ate in restaurants! We particularly liked having the room that’s outside the main house - we enjoyed having our own space. Loved the little extra touches - cans of juice in the fridge and crisps and biscuits!! Plus a great coffee machine. Overall an excellent stay with a great host.

We arrived loving Scotland, yet tired after 8 days of rain. Jane and Florin welcomed us, making us feel immediately at home. If you have concerns about staying in a family home, please understand that this is a chance to experience the comforts of home and the privacy of a hotel. Breakfast on the glassed in porch is phenomenal and the homemade choices are delicious! Our hosts recommended places to visit, restaurants and helped us navigate the best and most secure route to the airport. We stayed in the smallest room as we reserved last minute and the two twin mattresses were more comfortable than the double beds we had at 4 and 5 star hotels! The home is near a cute corner store for snacks and Neistpoint lighthouse which is the best sunset ever! Also closeby is a Michelin restaurant; however we noted for Stein Inn. A 25 min drive, the location is authentic, views spectacular and food outstanding... just have patience with the stodgy bar tender and you’ll have a lovely eve! Reserve you stay in Glendale for a chance to be at peace and experience authenticity and a very touristic island. You won’t regret it!
