Desirè Charming House Boat

I’m American and he’s Italian so we’ll leave the review in English and Italian. We’re both adventurous and also love romantic respites and this boat hits every note. It’s so very special and very comfortable. The views. The breeze. The vibes. Everything. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso a bordo di Desirè. La barca è perfetta per una coppia e offre qualcosa di davvero raro: tranquillità e relax pur essendo a due passi dal cuore di Palermo. Abbiamo passato le giornate cucinando, prendendo il sole e godendoci il mare, con tutto quello che la città ha da offrire a pochi minuti di distanza. Avevo già soggiornato nel centro storico e adoro la sua energia, la sua bellezza e il suo continuo via vai. Però Palermo sa essere anche molto vivace e rumorosa. Desirè è stata una piccola oasi di pace, un rifugio dove staccare senza sentirsi lontani dalla città. Svegliarsi con l’acqua intorno, la brezza del mare e quella calma speciale è qualcosa che difficilmente si trova altrove. Le foto sono bellissime, ma dal vivo ha davvero tutto un altro fascino. La cosa che ci porteremo nel cuore, però, è l’accoglienza di Martina e Diego. Ci hanno fatto sentire a casa fin dal primo momento con una gentilezza e una disponibilità davvero rare. Ci manca già tantissimo e speriamo di tornare presto.

This stay was absolutely wonderful! The boat was a surprise for our children and it was a highlight of our travels! The space was surprisingly bigger than expected, the location cannot be beat, and the host was incredibly kind, communicative, and helpful. The entire stay was a joy!

I have traveled around the world. Been to many hotels/apartments/airbnbs, and I can honestly say Martina is the most attentive and caring host I ever met. Gave us TONS of recommendations, even if we didn't ask for it. Made sure our visit is good and continually checked on us. Every little inquiry I have is answered by her right away. Such a sweet woman!!! Aside from that- well, of course, a boat is such a unique experience and accommodation. Very romantic and awesome. 5 minutes walk to Old Town! And 30 second walk to a modern area full of restaurants/modern fountain(water works). A nice dude nearby playing a guitar and singing the same song every night from 7pm-midnight(Lambada). Becomes a nice background music. By the way, in case you're wondering, yes, the shower is small but there are 2 of them inside the boat. Not enough? There is a building nearby solely for showering/toilet, and it is only for people who has boats(guests included) and the doors are accessible only by a code. The area to the boats itself is gated and can only be opened with a code, so it is safe, and no one can just enter inside.

Wifi connection is weak, you have to go outside. But if you have data on your phone, no problem. Doesnt really bother us but just pointing it out. Why do you need internet that much anyway if you are on vacation? For me, I needed it for business purposes(check business back home), but as I said, I got internet, so it is a non-issue.

Das Boot im Hafen von Palermo ist eine Übernachtungsperle in dieser quirligen Stadt. Unsere Gastgeberin Martina ist wahnsinnig herzlich und hat sich stets um unser Wohl gekümmert. Tolle Insider-Tipps für ein paar schöne Tage! Es war fantastisch und Martina ist ein wahrer Schatz!

Très bien situé Excellent accueil de Martina

Gute Lage, perfekte Kommunikation. Viele Tipps für Unterwegs und was gebraucht wird. Mitten Drin statt nur dabei. Das macht ein Urlaub aus. Vielen Dank Martina für die rundum Betreuung.

Es ist nicht zu bemängeln. Wir können das Schiffsleben. Es war besser als erwartet. Duschen und Toiletten der Marina direkt gegenüber und sehr sauber. Am Bord ist auch natürlich ist auch alles vorhanden.

Toplocatie en rust, vlakbij bij het gezellige centrum met de vele goed restaurants en marktjes. Heel gezellige boot.

De locatie en het bijzondere verblijf op de boot. De vrijheid en het uitzicht. De rust, terwijl Palermo met zijn drukte om de hoek ligt.

Douche en toilet, maar die konden we gebruiken in de haven.

Martina è veramente una forza. Cortese, simpatica e molto professionale. Si è fatta in quattro con un sacco di informazioni su luoghi da visitare, ristoranti ed eventi. Al nostro arrivo ci ha omaggiato una bottiglia di buon vino siculo e diversi snack, una bottiglia di acqua grande e ci ha fatto sentire coccolati, c'è anche tutto il necessario per una colazione a bordo. Sempre a disposizione per qualsiasi nostra esigenza. Soggiornare sul Desirée è stata una bella esperienza, la barca offre tutti i confort, curata nei dettagli marinari e molto pulita. Per maggior comodità nella marina c'è a disposizione bagno e doccia "classici". Consiglio caldamente a tutti di fare questa esperienza con Martina e la sua Desirée.

Nonostante la mia prenotazione fosse con davvero poco preavviso, Martina ci ha fatto trovare tutto in maniera eccellente. Pulizia, disponibilità, gentilezza e persino un aperitivo offerto a bordo. Premurosamente presente sia al check in che al check out. Tutto super comodo e alla portata di tutti
