The Grove

It’s situated in a perfect position in a wonderful and quirky little city, free car parking was an excellent help and lovely to have the option of decent food and a drink on the doorstep, lovely beer garden too. Very warm welcome from staff

Nothing really other than it could do with a bit of updating, rooms were clean and perfectly adequate for what we needed but could do with a lick of paint and just a bit of thought about where things like plug sockets are situated

The room was dark Breakfast choice was very poor on Monday, better on Tuesday, when fruit and yoghurt were provided

The hotel is very well located and the facilities were all on hand

The only thing I did not like was the instant coffee at breakfast as the hot water was not hot enough

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts and otherwise straightforward pub food. Good bath/shower and comfortable room.

No hooks on bathroom or bedroom doors. No shelves in bedroom for clothes other than small drawer in table.

Did not disappoint. Big room, big bed, a great pub and excellent meals.
