The Hill House

The location close to Bicheno centre was good. It had 2 bedrooms. The lounge was comfortable. It had a dishwasher.

Who doesnt have a toilet roll holder? How much would it cost to install one?? You had to put the toilet paper on top of the bathroom rubbish bin. The wifi was so unreliable, kept dropping out so we gave up in the end and used our own. The cleaners obviously dont seem to really care about cleaniness, some of the utensils were filthy and so were the plates. No real view of the sea at all, the pictures are misleading, you would have to stand up on the lounge maybe? The TV was tiny, more like a computer sized screen. The fridge had been non-operational for a couple of days (apparently the power was lost in the area 2 days previously but nobody came to check the house to see if the power had been restored) so when we got there, it was extremely warm. We had to reset the circut breaker and it took a number of hours to cool down and this meant our seafood was out on the bench for quite a long time. This was a concern. There is a street light right out the front, so the second bedroom is bright at night even with a blind. No view in the main bedroom - the back of a garage and dead weeds. The instructions on the fridge say to clean the BBQ - there is no BBQ..... I agree with other reviewers, you have to wait around for the dishwasher to finish and empty before you leave? We have stayed in 15 different properties on our trip around Tassie and not once have we been requested to hang around to empty the dishwasher, the shortest cycle is 45 minutes. Why cant the cleaner do this when they turn up to clean?

Location was great and house was very provisioned, including the kitchen. Air con was very warming as the weather was wild and very cold.

Nothing we didn't like. Would suggest placing a full length mirror on the back of a door, perhaps the bathroom or a bedroom.

Home was cozy and tastefully decorated. Quiet location with short walking distance to shops and places to eat. Bed was comfy. Bicheno is a lovely town to stay in.

The location was close to the shops,restaurants and walk to the front beach. The house was comfortable and warm with great kitchen and plenty of cooking utensils. Nice big bathroom and very clean.

Location was excellent, lovely views to the mountains and water, sun drenched - great for drying the washing. Washing machine and two drying racks. Very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen. Separate bath to shower.

Lovely view from the living room. Everything was comfortable and the facilities were good. There were interesting pictures and books in the living room

Everything was pretty good. Can't think of anything much that would have improved it

Location, within walking distance from the beach and shops. Very clean and tidy. When we mentioned we had arrived in Hobart at 9am they kindly organised for us to access the house any time after 1pm instead of waiting for the 3 o'clock check in.

On arrival needed to go and buy shower gel and hand soap as what was provided was not enough for 4 people, for one night let alone 2 and three days.. I understand cleaning up the kitchen and putting the dishwasher on but having to empty and put dishes away meant that we put dishwasher on with half load. We then washed all the breakfast dishes by hand because we couldn't wait for it to wash and empty it. Ad photos seem to show the sea was visible from the front garden which wasn't so.
