Amboula Beach Apartments

I stayed up on one of the second floor apartments for 8 nights. I was met by the fabulous host Tenia who showed me round the well appointed apartment and explained all I needed to know about it. The kitchen / diner is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and there is a large balcony with comfortable chairs to enjoy the sea view. The apartment block is nicely set in large well kept grounds and is only a couple of minutes walk down to the beach. There's a good choice of shops, restaurants and car/scooter hire outlets within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. The bus stop for buses down to Zakynthos town is nearby too with plenty of buses running in the high season, but less so in the low season. That aside the apartment is well located to move around other parts of the island.

It is a really nice place nearby Ambula beach. Very nice view from the apartment. Beatiful garden with a shower that you can use to wash off sea water. Rooms, kitchen, balcony - everything was really great. I hope that I will visit this place again :) P.S. garden was full of friendly cats :)

- The cleaning could be done better. We found a lot of dust on the hood and on the air conditioner. The oven was used and not cleaned. - We didn’t have hot water for many days. We announced the host and we founded that the water was heated by solar panels, and for one day we have hot water because it was switched on electric heating. After that, we think that electric heating was turn off again. The water heated by solar panels wasn’t enough for six apartments. - There were mosquitos but the doors/windows didn’t have screens. - Old furniture of the kitchen. Rusty cooker. Old fridge, it works almost continuous. - One air conditioner in one of the rooms which didn't cool very well. - Clean bed linen but broken. - There are many things that need to be replaced or fixed. - The general impression was that the owner and the host are oriented towards ensuring a bigger profit rather than ensuring a higher comfort for the guests. - The apartment is over rated in my opinion. It is not like in the pictures from Booking where everything seems to be new. It is that kind of accommodation which neither like to much nor dislike. This can be noticed from the number of reviews (under 70). I think that most of the guests choose not to write a review.

The apartment was very clean and spacious. We had two balconies, one for drying clothes and the second for serving coffee in the morning while admiring the sea. The staff is kind. The surroundings are quiet and safe

The shower cabin is small. You have to be careful when you wash your erogenous zones because you can't leave the shower cabin if you have an erection.

Ambula has many many plus points, the view from the balcony of the sea is wonderful, the location is perfect two minutes to the nearest restaurant, four minutes to the beach or the nearest shop. The price of the accommodation is very reasonable and everything you need is in the apartment. The staff are lovely too, and very helpful.

To make Ambula an even better place to stay having a safe would be a good idea (we found a little hiding place to put our valuables but it would have been better to have a lockable safe) We think a microwave and a toaster would be a better option than the cooker that is in the kitchen at the moment.

We have stayed in this location for two weeks and it was amazing, lovely apartment in a beautiful spot, very clean and with all you need, located very close to a tiny beach, suitable for families with kids, it was just perfect! Also very close to the location were supermarkets and shops!Big thanks and hugs to our great hosts Tenia and Nathalie, incredibly kind, sweet and wonderful women they made us feel very welcome. We thank you very much for your kindnesss, ladies. In conclusion, a great place to accomodate to enjoy your holiday. Can’t wait to come back soon!!

Cute and well equipped apartment with gorgeous sea views! 3mins walking distance to the beach and to super market. If you prefer a bigger beach then with 5mins driving you will be at Tsilivi which is a "hub"/mini town that has everything!

Nice quiet location near the ocean (stoney beach but okay for a quick dip).
