"Great place, can do better with hospitality"

5.0

The location and experience of staying at a working ranch were good

Owner attitude, nonavailability of basic amenities like hot water to drink. Given that this place is 13 miles from.nearest facility makes it difficult

"Great potential, but overall disappointing"

5.0

Nice location just outside Page on a sheep farm, incredible starlight. Mystical experience to sleep in a traditional Navajo hut.

Itโ€™s actually not an โ€œeco lodgeโ€, but rather a very basic camping site. It has great potential, but the owners keep it to the absolute minimum.Although they have showers with hot and cold water, they didnโ€™t install flush toilets. The communal latrines were just disgusting with poop floating around and stinky ( unnecessarilyโ€ฆ). Although they have solar panels for lighting, there are no plugs to charge your stuff. No WiFi, very limited cellular coverage. House rules forbid alcohol, smoking and even ice cubs ( only hot drinks allowedโ€ฆ). The military-style camping beds were extremely uncomfortable, the whole family ( including our teenage daughter) slept badly and woke up with back pain. Other guests mentioned that the beds in the tents were better. Another guest mentioned that his bed broke apart completely in the night. Street noise from nearby highway and dogs barking all night. The only two dining options ( burger and taco for 18$) were โ€ฆ well, โ€ฆ ok, if you are hungry. The camp fire and the stars were the real thing. For what it offers, extremely overpriced. A pity, because with very little investment this could be an amazing place.
