Windmill walk

We enjoyed our stay at Windmill Walk. It was a great location for walking, ferry and pathways. The space was clean and neat. Communication with the owner was prompt. We will be keeping this location in mind for future stays in Dartmouth.

Easy check in. Andy would text you and meet you at your time of arrival. Very clean and spacious, with the amenities of home. Very easy access to the Halifax waterfront, citadel and museums. There is a ferry ten minute walk that takes you across to downtown Halifax. Inexpensive and scenic. If you want to drive, it is very close to the bridge downtown.

The unit itself was nice, well appointed. Bed has been very used and was uncomfortable. Traveling solo and as a woman, I did not feel 100% secure. The front door which is the only door with a lock on it is fully exposed to anyone outside. A window covering on the front door would add another layer of security. As well, another lock on the internal door leading to the front would being added comfort. There should be operating hours for the laundry room as my last night resulting in interrupted sleep in to close to 2am since the laundry room was directly under my unit. I could hear the banging of the machine clearly. Nice place but could be even better with a few adjustments.

Property was as advertised. Andy was a great host. Very walkable location close to ferry terminal and restaurants.

Clean and a great space for two people

Quiet location and very well equipped. We got our laundry done and enjoyed watching a film. Very relaxing.

Very convenient to the ferry and Halifax, this charming property feels snug and offers all the comforts. If getting around by foot, there is a steep incline to negotiate and you’ll be passing the neighborhood “characters”. I had no problems of any sort but be aware.
